Gamezone article: Bungie wants to know why you haven't been playing Destiny

Seems that Bungie is on the look out for answers as to why people are not playing Destiny. This short article from GameZone is quite interesting and in fact right on point. Being a Destiny player myself, has by far been one of the few games in my life that has truly consumed most or all of my time as a gamer. (Because, I really suck at Call of Duty and would rather play a FPS that I have a chance at, LOL.) I have not yet reached that level in Destiny where I don't want to play anymore, but I do understand why people are not playing Destiny as much anymore. Truthfully from my perspective, I find that people who are hardcore into Destiny or just kind of into it are frustrated with the lack of good item drops from all the work they put into playing Destiny. I mean, lets face it when you're doing a nightfall, on hard, with extra troops and what not, and you die three or four times as a team and keep trying only to get maybe a lame piece of gear or weapon, or luck would have it nothing at all then that make a person not want to play as much. For example, I find it quite interesting that I've been playing the Iron Banner Rift for that last week or so. I have received some great drops: 309 pair of boot, 292 scout rife and so on and some not so great drops of gear or weapons, also nothing at all which I expect at times. Can't always get something when you play and I don't want a hand out or anything. (also I am a retired veteran from the Army so I have a lot of time to game and such.) My concern is, when I see my friends playing Iron Banner like I was and received six exotic engrams in a row one night. I mean that just crazy and I was like "really another one" and my friend is like "I don't know whats happening right now." I am not bitching or anything, but he said he was using 3 of coin from Xur and he just hit the exotic jackpot or something. Which is cool for my friend and all but I see other players playing all the time and they get nothing for our time and how much we play. My suggestion for this and as to why people are not playing as much is because of the following: Item drops- are not consistent enough. There needs to be a serious overhaul on what items drop after you play certain aspects of the game. This would greatly increase player ratings and time spent on other parts of the game. Level Cap- Here is where I am just lost, 40 is the level cap and light level is not going past 320 (I think, I could be wrong.) Its time for Destiny to change up the leveling system. Increase the level cap. Why? Because when you stop leveling in a game then it just feels like your doing stuff for nothing. I understand the light level will change with different gear, but lets be honest when you hit 40, your like " why am I even trying anymore." I mean, we need something drastic, increase the level cap to 80 or 100 or something and make the leveling harder and such but that way people are getting something out of their hard work and dedication. Story/Campaign- I know this part is impossible probably, but worth a shot. We have three main characters in the game: Titans, Hunters and Warlocks. Each character should have their own story that all ties into each other, just from different perspectives. This would vastly improve the overall play through of Destiny. A game that did this in the past was a Kingdom Hears game back on PSP, where you could play a three different character but they all tied into the main story from different perspectives. Like I said a long shot but would be awesome. Curssible- (I spelled that wrong I know) What I find most fun about this facet of the game is the challenge. What would be cool is make a world league out of this. You play some matches to find our your skill level and then your put into a league with people who match that skill level. As you get better, people move to different leagues and skill levels. Just an idea. Well people that's all I have. Agree with me or not this is just my two cents and I hope this stirs the Destiny pot for everyone. Thanks for reading my post. Gamer Tag: Ninja InThe Rye See you on the battle field!
