The Forums Explained - The Issues Revealed

I posted this is response to some one, but thought I'd share on a separate post. In all seriousness, here is why you don't understand what is going on here. Maybe you do but here it is. On one side you have mainly PVE players (YOU). On the other you have mainly PVP players. Then there are both. Then there are casuals. Then there are players who just suck at the game. Then there are just assholes. Then there are streamers/Youtubers (not all are the same). PVE focused players ask for nerfs because they can't keep up with TLW and such when they enter the crucible. They don't seek out information and learn counters for these quick ttk weapons. On the other hand they complain about content because Destiny's PVE is never updated consistently to keep up with the demand. PVP focused players don't care about PVE content, so their complaints are focused on pvp. So you get things like shotgun range nerfs, and thorn nerfs, and soon they will nerf immunity shields because it's ridiculous that a person can get a res and shotgun you while they are immune.... Etc. Players who do both PVE and PVP are fine and addicted, until the only thing left to do is...nothing. And then they start finding flaws in the game and the more vocal ones start complaining. Ever heard the term "you can't please everyone all of the time"? Yeah. Then there are casuals. Again, you. You guys jump on Destiny when you can and do stuff and things. Probably don't really care about grimoire. It's nice to get this and that. If you collect all the fragments one day that would be awesome. (Idk if you have them, just sayin) Npt many complaints from you guys. Then you have scrubs. True scrubs. They complain about everything except glimmer. Good news is that their posts aren't really regarded as relevant and don't get too many replies. Other than 'git good' and stuff. Then there are the assholes. The ones who've never played, played way too much, feel betrayed by Bungie and have nothing better to do that tell the world. You've seen them. One of them posts almost daily... The issue with these guys is that they get A LOT of replies. Their threads get bumped and you just have to read them because they're trending. It's the old water fountain, or parking lot conversation. It's fun to hate on something. Even if it's u founded or downright stupid. Now the streamers. The majority of which feel that the game was built for them. They do everything. Blindfolded even. They have officially run out of things to stream if they aren't carrying people to the lighthouse. If they complain it's because the content isn't difficult enough. They are burning out right now. Their channels get less and less views daily. Of course I don't want that. I watch them. Some are very useful. So there you have it. It's Bungie's job to sift through all this garbage and come up with something that pleases the majority. It's also their job to keep the world of destiny going. Unfortunately I think it is proving to be a bigger challenge than they originally anticipated. Probably requires way to many resources and payroll with the majority of time dedicated to developing stuff, and for the time it takes to develop a new world it's too expensive. Good luck to us all. ;)

  • Just to clarify one thing a lot of people get on destiny because we love the game dum dum. Don't matter what flaws their are in the game itself we will still play it until we either get bored orrrrr want to play a different game. ;)
