Treads Upon Stars farming- Vanguard Strikes or Directory?
So I've decided to set my sights on the Treads Upon Stars, and I'm wondering if it's better to just farm Vanguard Strikes for it or go to a specific Cabal strike from the Directory? Does anyone know if the drop rate or the quality of the weapon (Light level, perks, etc) changes either way?

1 ReplyThe best way to do it is Nightfall. I've gotten like 3 of them. If it's not Nightfall, I'm pretty sure it'll be from the normal directory because it'll consistently that strike.

Wondering the same thing. Gotten 3 so far. Just from directory shield bros(fastest strike IMO). All shitty rolls though. Been trying for about week. Got 3 in the first day, haven't seen one since.... It's kinda frustrating

Seems like ToC helps drop Strike Specific loot if it doesn't drop an exotic. I've gotten 1 Devouring Maw, 3 Darkblade Helms, 2 Mark of The Undying Minds, 4 Treads, and 1 Mau'ual's Maulers by using ToC on the strikes. Doesn't seem to work for Omnigul and Flayers however, as ToC doesn't work on either.

Use 3oCs too, what I've seen happen for me is that instead of an exotic The bosses will drop their strike specific loot instead. If not an exotic is always a nice bonus! Or nothing lol.

All I want is a Treads with auto fire. No luck at all. :(
