I just want to preface what will likely be a long read for some (there is a TL;DR) with this; I loved Destiny. Preordered it, day one player, was "forever 29", 1000 hours played. I remember things from this game that I'm not sure even half of it's population do. I'm not saying this as if I'm better, not at all. Simply that some people today don't even know what that "original-destiny-magic" feeling was. We were so excited! And even when we found out our dream game was kind of shit, that excitement turned into equal parts hope, and we were still excited for what may come still. Save for the few that levelled up, and -blam!-ed off a month later. Its 2016 and I really wish I was one of those few. Few people can say they've defended bungie and had respect enough to give them time to create something special. I was of those few instead. The blatant capitalist, 'dont-give-a-shit-what-you-want' approach did strike a nerve with me, as it would anyone else who can do math/buys their own games. However, I knew a special game required funding and work done beyond what I know, so I stayed patient. Its 2016 and you guys just finished racing sparrows. What. The. -blam!-. That's what we get? I played taken king enough to get each class to 290 light and said to myself what we should all say to ourselves playing this game. "Why am I playing this?" I have hated the look/loadout of all my characters for a majority of this game now. Taken King took a year and 1000 hours worth of me playing and said "......naah. start over. Oh, this time race sparrows" And I love; "But if Bungie let us use our old stuff/whatever we wanted, what's the point in them making new things?" Answer: because its their job. Because you don't get paid to do nothing. Make new guns and gear, lots of it, and let people use whatever however they want. I've written enough to get started on cut content, so my point is this. I quit months ago. Had I left back at the start, I would've had a much healthier game to play through later on, and saved myself from playing a shit game for so long, and writing about it for this long. _________________________________ TL;DR -- this game is shit, play it long enough and you'll feel just like the guy who wrote this -blam!-ing wall. Do you want that?
