Thought I'd just make a list for you of user/newb friendliness in FE games, the Japanese games all have mostly/complete patches for emulation: FE 1(JP): 1/10 FE 2 (JP): 0/10, too different, allows grinding tho FE 3 (JP): 4/10, remake of FE 1 FE 4 (JP): 4/10, different, but not bad FE 5 (JP): 0/10, probs hardest game in the series FE 6 (JP): 5/10, transition to GBA, mediocre FE 7: 8/10, good if you like moderate difficulty FE 8: 9/10, noob friendly, allows grinding FE 9: 8/10, often called easiest game in series FE 10: 6/10, long, with units not always available FE 11: 5/10, difficult, with little to really help you FE 12 (JP): 6/10, has My Unit, remake of FE 3 iirc FE 13: 11/10, easiest imo, allows grinding and has pair up, easily one of the most OP features in the series. Oh, and your enemies can't use it.
