It would be interesting to see special ammo work the same as heavy ammo, but maybe you lose 50% when you die as opposed to all of it. It would spawn more frequently, and then might ensure players don't become too powerful with it. Similar to the way power weapons and weapon pickups work in halo. (I love halo so I may be biased, but I don't know, maybe it could work?)
