Trials of Osiris

Hi, I am Darkparatroopa and I play Destiny on a daily basis. I started playing from around when the Dark Below DLC launched and I really do enjoy the game. My brother has been playing from launch and I recently got my father addicted too, but we don't play "hardcore" (i.e. 3-5 hours is roughly the amount we play per day). Don't get me wrong, I love Destiny. I love King's Fall, Crota's End, Vault of Glass, Prison of Elders etc... Crucible is my favourite kind of Destiny experience; that is until when it comes to Trials of Osiris. There are probably many forum topics about this issue, but the lag is just too unbearable! I know it has nothing to do with my internet connection as I play many other games too (e.g. Minecraft with friends, BO3 etc...) and very, very rarely ever have issues there. I have had a flawless run before with my brother but today was just plain utterly ridiculous. We won our first three games with no losses. On the fourth we encountered a titan, hunter and warlock. The hunter and titan maintained a perfectly fine connection with us throughout the game and put up a good game. At the 9th round, both teams were tied 4-4, we killed the hunter and titan and I moved backwards outside the door for a split second. 5 seconds later after being inside an enclosed building I died from a 1000-Yard Stare headshot while inside the wall. Instantly after that, a fire-bolt grenade somehow appeared in the room with the warlock just outside. My brother was constantly shooting him with a shotgun only to die by a MIDA multi tool? At shotgun range? My father then died from two warlock melees as I watched the warlock's glowing helmet warp past me several times. Luckily we had bought a mercy boon so all was not lost... until the following match. Three striker titans fought against us and not one of them had a decent connection. We were at the far end of the map waiting for them to come to us. Next thing I know my father dies from a shoulder charge even though the person who had killed him was in the centre of the map walking into a box. Another one of their team members came and used his double jump across my team, though I could see him fly past my screen at least three times before teleporting back to where he first jumped (though I did manage to kill him). Random outcomes from terrible connections caused us to finish our ticket at 4-3, one win away from an armour piece which is what we were trying so hard to get for my father. This, however is not the first time that these experiences have been encountered. Please Bungie, I request that add features into the game that allow for regular players to have a better experience; the experience we deserve for the money, time and effort we put in. Allow for a more advanced searching feature that helps us to find players that have similar connections to us. Send warnings to people who are ruining others' experiences from their connection or even just upgrade servers. These basic suggestions have the potential to improve the awful experiences in PvP. I am happy to discuss with others, so feel free to respond below or bump this thread. Thank you for reading and have a great day. -Darkparatroopa

  • http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1022247/Shared-World-Shooter-Destiny-s Thanks for sharing, if you have time read up on their design PILLARS!!! They over thought the code and unified it to create a horrible environment for network manipulation and they can't fix it unless they change it all... WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
