Do you know why casuals are hated on more often than "hardcore" gamers?
I believe I have a theory.
Casuals (myself included) look further down the road.
Most casuals probably figured that back in 2007, that 50 in Halo 3 ranked wasn't gonna mean jack sheeit in 3-4 years.
Same with that 10th prestige in Modern Warfare when MW2 came out.
Most of the complainers wanted their skill to transfer from game to game to game and ALWAYS be the best. The only time that's happened to me was the Guitar Hero franchise.
But why do you think casuals are hated on?
If you please, state whether you are a casual or a hardcore gamer, and say what you think defines a casual or a hardcore.

I don't hate on casuals unless they're under the false impression that they're "uber 1337 mlg pros" just because they beat randoms in matchmaking. You're a casual until you start competing in real tourneys(and I don't mean gamebattles) and winning. Face it; 99.99 percent of all gamers are casuals. Just like 99.99 percent of all people who participate in sports are not in a professional league. Yes, this means I'm a casual. I'm fine with that. [Edited on 12.20.2010 12:18 AM PST]
