=The Taikonaut Chapter 7 Pt. 1=

Hello, everyone! Me and Zebra are doing a collab, and this is the first chapter! First part is a close-up of the previous chapters, but don’t worry, the other story will begin soon. Chapter 6: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/177452318/0/0 |======================| Sasha was on the hunt. “Ghost, any transmat frequencies?” Sasha whispered. “None yet.” Ghost replied. Sasha was in a cluster of pods. They were all a part of the mining colony west of Sasha’s pod. She held her hawkmoon by her face, with both hands on the handle, which was unusual for her. She usually held it with one hand when not in combat. But this was different. “Wait, I’m picking something up…” Ghost said, slow. “He’s getting in a ship!” “What? I picked this place clean for parts years ago…” Sasha looked down, and thought. “Wait-” Sasha looked up. “The trap!” |======================| Sasha ran towards the old ship she used as bait for fallen looters, but none had ever shown up. She always killed them all. When she rounded the corner into the docking pod, and she saw Idiot standing in front of the old jumpship that she found, in that same pod. “Hey, Dipshit!” Sasha yelled, panicky. “Don’t go in there!” “Too bad, asswipe!” Danny taunted. Sasha heated up. “I’m getting off this shitty moon! Beam me up, ghosty!” He disappeared in flash of blue. “Ghost,” Sasha sighed. “We can’t have a guardian and a ghost die. Tell his ghost that it needs to get out of there.” “On it.” Ghost sent a message. Danny’s ghost appeared beside them both. “Now take him back to the pod.” Sasha pointed east. “We don’t want us all blowing up. Come back when our vitals have dropped.” “See you then.” Sasha’s ghost said. They left. “Hey, -blam!-stick-” Sasha tapped into Danny’s comms. “Oh shit… umm, why are these lights flashing? What’s that ‘Get off my moon’ message with a ogre on it mean?” Danny was panicking. “It means it’s about to explode.” Sasha facepalmed. “I even painted on the side: ‘Don’t come in here, it’s a bomb’. Fallen can’t read english, but I guess you can’t either.” “It’s a trap?!” Danny yelled. “That’s right, idiot.” Sasha looked up, and started to fill with solar energy. She was angry. “And when we wake, you’re getting a hell of a beating.” Then everything went white. |======================| The ghosts hovered back to the mining colony in silence. “So…” Sasha’s ghost said, awkwardly. “How’s your guardian?” “Good, I dunno.” Danny’s ghost said. It sighed. “I think I chose wrong.” “That’s what I thought, when I first revived Sasha.” Ghost’s casing clicked. “But you’ll learn soon that any guardian can save the world. He’ll get better, don’t worry.” “Oh- okay. Thanks.” And they hovered along. |======================| Sasha woke up. “Hey, Sasha.” Her ghost said, softly. “M’ello, ghost…” She looked around. And sure enough, they were in a crater. The ship blew up…, she thought, and looked at Danny. “Hey! You!” Sasha yelled at him. “Oh, crap!” He started to run. The ghost resurrection must have healed his wound. “Ugh.” Sasha ran a few steps, and (Thanks to the low gravity) became a rocket in the air. He looked back. “Oh no, not the flying thing agai- AGH!” Danny was tackled to the ground. “God-” Sasha punched him in the face, and punched out a few teeth. “-damn-” She punched him in the chest, breaking multiple ribs. “-ass-” She pulled him and her to their feet, punched a hole in his stomach and tore him in two. “-HOLE!” Her armour was soaked in blood as Danny was resurrected. “AH! I’M DEAD! IS THIS HEAVEN?” Danny looked at Sasha. “NOOO, I’M IN HELL!” Sasha grabbed him by the throat and lifted him into the air. “No, you were resurrected by your ghost.” “Ma- an, thi- *gurk* this s- ucks!” Danny sputtered. “A- and my bo- dy fee- ls weird.” He slapped the hand holding him up. “I- is this w- haaat reesur- ectan feels l- l- like? I don’t lik- eee iii- t…” “Well, you better get used to it, cause I’m still mad.” She summoned her hammer. “Fu- uck…” Danny said as his head was obliterated. |======================| Fourteen resurrections later… “Please! Wait!” Danny pleaded. They were now almost back to Sasha’s pod. One of his deaths included being thrown across thirty miles of land. Sasha was thinking. Maybe he had something good to say. “Fine.” She de-summoned her hammer, and crossed her arms. “What do you want? Hurry up.” Danny was surprised. “Um…” “Hurry. Up.” Her hand began to flame. “Okay, okay! First… um…” Sasha was impatient. “Well, do you even know my name?” “Yeah.” Danny looked puzzled, as she finished. “Your name is idiot.” “Heh- heh… good one…” He looked up at her and saw she was not joking. “Erm… my name is uh… my name is Danny.” “Well, Danny-” She was unfazed. “-I’m sorry you ran into me in such a bad mood.” She pulled her hammer out. “Ah!” He sunk into the fetal position. “Why do you hate me so much?!” Tears formed at the edges of his eyes. Sasha had... no idea what to say to this. He destroyed her supply of bacon and flushed her personal belongings into the airless void of the moon, but- he never meant to. She was just… angry. For no reason, now. It had been almost a week she had been tracking him, she should’ve cooled off by now. “I… I’m sorry.” Danny looked up from his position, and saw a hand held out. “I had a grudge. Do you need anything? Maybe a place to stay for the night?” His plexiglass visor had glare. He grabbed her hand. “I’m sorry.” She apologized for the second time. “I get too angry sometimes, and you’ve destroyed a lot of my stuff.” He blushed behind the visor. They started walking to her pod. “Man, I’m hungry.” Danny said aloud. “You can have some of my food, if you want.” Sasha said as she looked forward. “Oooo! Do you have any bacon?” Sasha fought back every one of her instincts to not punch his face in again. |======================| Sasha had, much to her dismay, been at the tower dropping Danny off. Wasn’t a pleasant experience. Well, not at the tower, but she was above it. ---------- An hour earlier… “Are you sure this is safe?!” Danny yelled, on the top of her ship. They were currently hovering above the tower. “It’s not safe in the slightest;” Sasha yelled over the intercom. “But I’m sure as hell not landing!” “Can’t we just-” A gust of wind blew the ship off balance, sending Danny flying off it. “AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!” He fell to the tower fast, and with a crunch. He also landed on the railing. Nutsack first. “Welcome, guardian-” His ghost said, “to the tower!” Danny fell off the railing and onto the tower’s transmat zone, lied on his side, started foaming from the mouth, holding his jewels and blacked out as a hunter came up and teabagged him. “Haha, scrub!” The hunter said, as she walked away. ---------- Well, she never specified who the experience was unpleasant for. A signal came across her comms. It was from the guardian. “Hey, Sash. Thanks for the new arrival! He’s still bleeding but he should be fine.” A faint scream could be heard in the background. “Hey, Guardian. Sorry about that. He waited too long to jump and I shook him off.” Sasha admitted. “Heh.” The guardian chuckled. “Oh, and be careful… we’ve got reports of Taken around your pod’s area. Be careful.” “Don’t worry.” Her ship exited hyperspace. “I’ll turn down the lights for a while, I should be okay.” “I know you’ll be okay, but I’m just making sure.” He said. “Okay. See you later, H-” The comms shut down as she entered orbit. “The hell?” She landed by her pod, but transmat wasn’t working. She got out herself. That’s when she saw her. It was a hunter, a female hunter, looking around confidently. She was wearing black and white armor with strange, metal plated bones that formed claws at the fingers, and a strange wild west-looking thing at her hip. The hunter turned to Sasha as if she had been expecting her arrival. “Oh. There you are; I’ve been waiting for hours.” The hunter said snarkily, twirling the black and silver hand cannon like she’d had it for years. Now that Sasha looked closer, the guardian seemed to be emitting a faint black and white glow, that was only seen in the… Taken. |======================| Check out Pt. 2: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/178038441/0/0
