While the masterful orchestral music of games like Halo and Metal Gear are amazing, I have to give my "best music in a game/series" award to the game I've kiiiiiind of made a couple threads on recently... Killer Instinct -- The first game I've played whose music isn't mainly orchestral yet has [i]still [/i]made me love its music so much. So many of its songs are just sooo powerful. They make me want to cry from excitement on a regular basis. (Extra ramblings and explaining that you don't care about) [spoiler] Killer Instinct is just soooo good with its music. The sounds of navigation through menus makes a little musical tune. When someone does an "ultra combo" at the end of a match, the music changes and becomes synced to the attacks. And as you go into a finish one round of the match and go into the next, the music transitions into another section of the song. It's so great.
