So I think we can all agree there is a lot of salt here. I'm curious about the cause. I'm not talking about the specifics like the RNG, but the higher level issues like "is this because Bungie changed their formula and, as a result, alienated a portion of their fan base". Was it like going to your favourite restoraunt expecting steak, only to find the menue has changed and they've gone Vegan? The food isn't bad, but if you wanted something different you'd have gone somewhere else?
What are your thoughts?

You've merely adopted the salt I was born into it

Why does everyone call it entitlement? Sure some of the expectations people have are unreasonable, but it isn't unreasonable to expect a quality product $140 in. Players are dropping like flies, and it is the result of repeated bad decisions by the Devs. Everyone says "it is their game we need to play it the way they want." That is simply false. We play how we want or we move on to a game that fits us better. What you and so many others call entitlement I call capitalism. The money goes to the devs who give us what we want, what satisfies us as gamers. So maybe we are entitled. Entitled to spend our money on the things we want.
-
I think it's frustration. The instant gratification society we have can't be satisfied by playing Destiny.
-
Why? I'll tell you why. Vanilla - $60 The Dark Below - 19.99 HoW - 19.99 The Taken King - 59.99 ... The Taken King on Black Friday? 39.99 fuck Christmas noobs. They're the real cheesers

Hey when's destiny coming out? This has been a good prologue but I'm ready for the game
-
the fact that we paid 140 dollars on one game, when every stitch of the content was part of the original version. So there isn't anything brand new here that has justified our multiple purchases. OH and of course time gating what we paid for is a real class move just to make everyone slave away for really no reason other than to MAYBE hit max light and then what???. What if all of a sudden they decided to revert it back to how it was? not saying they will but they seem to do whatever they want such as nerfing the shit out of items to make us grind more. Then it smacks them in the face with all the heat....then instead of buffing the drop back to how it was. Oh here spend your glimmer on it instead

I pre-ordered the version of Destiny shown at E3 in 2013. Never received it. Now what we are seeing is players leaving in droves. Why? Because of potential. This game was sold to us on the potential of the game. Well, the p[otential has never lived up to the actual, and Luke Smith is a bag of dicks. The disrespect is real. If this is a spokesperson for Bungie, it shows how very little repect they have for their paying customers. Simple question : Do you trust Bungie? My answer : No. I will vote with my wallet, as I will not be throwing money at the screen for further DLC "Expansions" this year.

Edited by NinjaMatic: 11/30/2015 7:57:54 AMApparently the average age is about 30. More gamers are 36 and up than between the age of 18 and 35 (according to a Google search... so it's FACT). 36+ is not the age range I would associate with being arrogantly entitled. I suppose the more accurate question is "what is the average age of people posting on the Bungie forums".
-
I honestly didn't think entitlement was going win out. Does anyone know what the average age of gamers is?

This game is born in salt, mouldered by salt
