Guardians Who Uses Single Pool Strat On Golgoroth

It will display next to a skull, just like one of our Nightfall modifiers. They work on both normal and hard mode, and offer rewards to match.

16 RepliesSingle pool is, at its heart, the Atheon fight. It's neither good nor bad. Does it use all the mechanics? No... But you didn't need to halt all Templar teleports to win, just if you wanted Exotic chest.

It's really not that hard. 1 orb strat is just to play it safe.

5 RepliesI see 3 options. 1--the orb you use doesn't ever respawn. so you only have 6 total tries. this can still use 1 bubble strat just you have to move the bubble everytime. so this is unlikely. 2--x number of orbs spawn each time (lets say x is 3) and they are in random locations each time. Again, still 1 bubble strat works with this, just have to look where they are at 3--no orbs respawn ever after the first go. This means you would have to take him down on the 1st go, 6 orbs or less. This would by far be the hardest as you won't have supers up each time you damage him (unlike you do now) and 1 mess up would rekt you. I predict it's number 2

People use that strategy because it's easier and faster because all that people want in a raid is the loot drop. That does not, however, mean that they are incapable of beating him using a different method.

Any death or use of the orb make the totem increase by 1, hit 6 and it's over.

People tend to take the path of least resistance. That's just human nature, doesn't mean they are incapable of doing it another way

2 RepliesIt's just easier to do single orb. If the gaze grabbers miss just one grab everyone wipes in the all pools strat. I don't get why Bungie think it's fun to have single points of failure in all of their so called correct way of doing it strategies. All this does is lead to frustration and people simply quitting. There is after all no actual reason to get to 320.

Technically I don't use it I wanna try different ways to kill him. But my team uses quick and easy single orb :/

7 RepliesThe thing that piqued my interest about that last comment, the six orb strat was the intended way wasn't it? Why would the challenge mode be how it was intended to be done in the first place? There has to be something else that will really separate the six orb strat from the one orb strat

16 RepliesPeople run single pool for the same reason they run no knight strat. It's not that the mutlipool or normal strat is hard, it's just it seems like everyone you find sucks. Challenge mode is going to be a challenge, but not because the challenge itself is hard, but because it will be hard to find competent people to do it with.
