Captain America: Civil War
What are your thoughts on how they are telling the story?
I will be upset if Spider-Man doesn't play a large role in this film. He has a large part in the comics but there was no mention of him in the trailer.
Additionally, they seem to have completely taken out what or rather who sparked the whole thing. Nitro. Where was he in the trailer? In the comics he kills 600+ with an explosion causing the government to push the superhero registration act. That is when Captain America refuses to register thus creating a civil war. However, now they have randomly thrown in the winter soldier to this version. Wat.
What are your thoughts?

3 RepliesHonestly in the comics I sided with Cap but here he just looks like a traitor. Going to ridiculous ends to protect Bucky who was an assassin and needs to own up to his actions. Tony seems forced to do this now as Cap is going ape over something so stupid. I've sided with Tony now, Cap thinks he's hot shit when he's just a roided up old dinosaur that needs to be show the reality of today

It's been confirmed that Spier-Man will ne im Civil War. I hope they don't show him in any future trailers and save him until the movie.

2 RepliesRogers "dies," and Bucky becomes captain America, but Rogers was actually just torn from reality and is later back to life eventually. Crossbones is the main bad guy who is the one that got severely burned in Winter Soldier. Red Skull should make a comeback as his main sidekick is crossbones. Towards the end of the movie or maybe in infinity war part 1, Rogers is back alive and Bucky then says to Rogers that "there is only one Cap, and it's Steve Rogers." Your welcome. I know that Spider-Man is supposed to be in it but I doubt it because another company holds the contract to the Spider-Man film franchise at the moment.

2 RepliesDon't expect the Civil War from the comics! This seems like a more personal story between Cap, Tony and Bucky and you have to remember it's a Captain America movie which means he will be leading the story. Also Nitro is not in it but Baron Zemo is the main villain along with Crossbones. There is no Superhuman Registration Act because most of the Avengers identities are widely known to the public. Instead it is a Sokovian Act thing made after the fallout from Age of Ultron that means any superhero must join with the government and follow their commands and work accordingly because they got 'reckless' and are endangering lives

1 ReplyBeing a huge nerd on the civil war story arc,this trailer seems mega disappointing to me because it doesn't have that vibe of THE civil war to it. When the hell was it all about bucky... [spoiler]I mean i know its the movie version so I cant really complain and expect the comic version. Most of the main players in the civil war havent even been introduced like hulkling and marvel doesn't have rights to some characters in the storyline. Just won't feel like the civil war to me in all. Just captain america 3, no civil war.[/spoiler]

Never read the comics, but played the Alliance games. The Civil War was pretty fun. Sided with Iron Man because he's Iron Man. Even though my dad tells me he was more a smart ass in the comics.

3 RepliesCaptain America looks like he just want to protect Bucky and prove he's innocent of what ever terrorist attack happened, then be against the SRA. When this event happened in the Comics, I was all for Cap, but now.... I'm siding with Stark This isn't really like the Comics, but that is probably due to the limited characters in the MCU. As well as not owning some of their Characters (Thanks Fox...). This however still looks like an awesome film 🙌
