Bring all raids up to level 40.

Give those raids relevance again with higher drops. Allow us to do multiple varied raids a week. Love to get a fireteam and fight a level 40 atheon again. Sign if you agree Edit 1: nice to see some people are agreeing on the matter. Make all those areas and levels relevant again! Edit 2: topic seems to be going both ways. Please continue to state your ideas on what would be good for destiny and what can be improved on. Thanks for the input

  • I would like this a lot but the difficulty gap is too high. It may be different for newer player but to me KF is a bit harder than VOG. I can run relic and everything no problem but am just ok in Kings fall. I'm good in normal but haven't done hard yet. However I could solo Crota at level 32 in 30 minutes. The dark late strike is longer than Crota and probably harder too. Giving people 310 gear for doing Crota (even at lvl 40 difficulty) wouldn't be ok.

  • No. They need to make the raids part of the leveling process...you shouldn't be able to buy vendor gear higher than the applicable light of VOG. Players should have to play VOG to get high enough to go into Crota, to get high enough to go into POE 32, then 34, then 35. As you go you unlock each DLC's story mode and earn the gear to get you close enough to be able to go into the next raid. Right now there are year 2 players who have never set foot in VOG/DB/POE...and most of these(not all) are the players people keep complaining about on these forums about constantly dying in the raid...how to fix this, make them run the previous raids.

    • The only way the old raids should be relevant is for things like the No Time to Explain questline. Only 1 out of 6 players who have killed Oryx on NM have killed him on HM, so for most average players there is still plenty of progression available. Spending time retooling the progression system to benefit the minority of players who play often enough to want to run old raids for progression, which would delay meaningful new content for everyone, is bad design. It would split the community and make groups harder to find for most players.

      • If this ever happens i would like them to fix every cheese. No more sniping oracles or templar from up top. No more jumping on top of the map on the crota bridge or jumping across using a sword or bladedancer. No more standing on the window sill against Crota.

        • The only raid that should be relevant is vog. Crota was a poor excuse for a raid. The vault will always be king

            • I would love it but they won't do it because they'd have to upgrade year 1 weapons to year 2 and they don't want you using old stuff. They want us grinding for new stuff. And think how annoying it will be to have to grind for all the year 1 gear you already got

                • Please, I hate how once the taken king came out everything else was useless. I get it the bungie wanted everyone to have to grind again and get new guns and armor but that doesn't mean you have to ruin the point to hunt wolves or do PoE or Atheon or Crota. Why did bungie work so hard to get the raids up then practically delete them. I hate how the game actually felt like it was going to be a game you could play on for hour without always doing the same thing, then bungie just stared over. I liked the game where I didn't do the same thing every day for no real point at all. We do the daily for the marks, to buy what, nothing really, everything that is good everyone has. I had hope when I heard about the taken King, I thought that the world would be even better with more stuff to do and play, but now it is all gone. Now don't get me wrong, I love this game, but i am sad to say I will not buy the next dlc if bungie continues on this path:(

                  • no bring new content / new raids. Shouldn't be too bloody hard to develop more content. Even a 30-60 minute lasting new raid will suffice. not just increase difficulty.

                    • At the cost of $40, you can get all y1 raids and PoE at lvl 42. But you need to pay 200 silver for each attempt.
