Why does everyone suck at Oryx!?
What's your excuse this time?
Anyone else tired of it taking so long to kill oryx, but it's never your fault?
Edit: referring to hard mode. And yes I'm not implying I'm perfect. I'm straight up stating it. We've never wiped because of me. (One time, my mistake, grabbed the bond from the vessel and an ogre meled me to saturn) I understand some random BS happens. But you know who you are, you repeat offenders who make completing Oryx a job instead of a game.
Edit: some of you feel my pain. Others are blind leading the blind. (Shouldn't have expected anything less tho, honestly half the community is just bad at this game) some people seem to think I just stay alive and don't help with the mechanics.. when truth be told I'm the guy that covers 2 or 3 jobs when people start dropping. Or a guy gets confused about which blight he is supposed to explode.. I let him do his thing and adjust accordingly. I know there are others out there as well.
Who else covers people's jobs and mistakes in the raid and just carries on? In the end you know you only beat oryx because you think on your feet and cover down for that guy that just can't get it right.
I don't care how much of a douche I come across as.

Yesterday i was doing kings fall again and this is still my first time doing it all the other times the fire team leaves so i found a fire team and they supposedly did the raid on hardmode 3 times and we spend three hours trying to kill oryx and im still on him because they didn't know what to do i kinda know but not the whole thing i just want the touch already

Ran 3 hard modes between Tuesday and Wednesday....had 1 super smooth run, why you ask.....BECAUSE WE DIDNT HAVE A WEED HEAD WITH US! I have no problem with smoking weed but for the love of God you don't have to take a bit every 5 mins at 8am in the morning.

2 RepliesCause people dont know how to stay alive -_- and have no patience for wipes. Of course its gonna take forever if u have to constantly replace someone every couple wipes....People need to learn their jobs and limits. Only one who should b the cause of a wipe should b a runner and only because of Ogre spam. Last run i did we had constant, and i mean constant unnecessary deaths. We had 2 titans who could not stay alive! It isnt hard to dip in and out of the bubble up top. Then we had people dying on mortars....like really it took this group 2 hours just to make it to echo, im not the type to just abandon a group. But people were so damn stubborn about where they ran. NO ONE would run on the sister platforms. The one time we tried to have 2 run up there they fell. Yes this group had difficulty because they couldnt run in a circle. In the whole 4 hours i caused 1 wipe, and that was from getting a blight that dropped at the entrance. Remember guarfians. Ur life is more important than a bomb

Those nigğas like dying like allday when im without my friend in some fireteam of some dudes and 1 or 2 scrubs in it when im not hosting it and during oryx on hard mode 1 dies and mess things up couple of times i sey try hard next time is all good BUT from the inside i sey look at this shítty nigğa oh my god i hope you fūcking die for real you stupid piece of śhit but when im hosting it in the end when oryx is about to die im banning them in the right moment that's what i call punishing scrubs you did mistakes on my watch you dont deserve an rewards that is my tip for yall good leaders out there they do wrong to you million times you and you got the power to decide what you going to do with him[spoiler]i have no idea how it from why scrubs are dying to tips for squad leaders ,:( [/spoiler]

3 RepliesSo how old are you? I mean really, you think anyone cares that you can complete Oryx without dying? Grow up and find a real world problem to complain about... Oh, and rather than bitch and moan, why not teach these ppl you're complaining about... What to do, and what not to do, the best strategy, maybe how if you wait til your reticule is over the enemy then bring up your sights yields much more accurate fire, etc. etc. Everybody bought this game same as you, but not everyone has the time to become a pro... I promise no one but kids are impressed by video game skills, NO ONE

Find a regular team, or at least 2 or 3 other regulars to coordinate a time to run hm with every week. Makes it hella easier than relying on lfg for the entire fireteam.

I ran the hard mode raid this week three times. I haven't played in about three weeks because I was moving so I was a little rusty. Well I jump into this LFG group and there is a squeeker. I'm like "Ok whatever one squeeker isn't bad." The kid proceeds to be the reason we wipe a few times. Then the dude starts screaming into his mike "STOOOOOP I'M PLAYING DESTINY. NOOOOOOOO" I guess his sister used the app to change his Xbox to YouTube. Of course, we wipe again. Next go at it I get splattered by the ship. The kid goes "Ok try not to get killed by the ship this time." I reply "Ok try not to switch to YouTube this time." We all start laughing at the kid and then eventually we kill Oryx. TLDR: Squeekers are the reason.

I was waiting for b8 or some kind of prank, but I can see you're serious, which is unfortunate, because a post that trashes people like myself doesn't deserve to get as much attention as it is. To answer your question, I use #Recruitment. I've done every part of the raid up to Oryx, but I just kind of gave up. I've gotten the technique down, but I just never finished him off. Something always happens, whether the relic glitches, the Tombship hits one of my teammates, or one of them loses connection. If I put my mind to it, and discriminated non-experienced players (which I will never do), then maybe I could beat him. But I'm fine for now, thanks.

How this happens is beyond me. - fails to detonate his bomb - forgets his platform You know where im going with this...

I cant think of one possible reason why anyone can complain about their raid team... Is there matchmaking in the raid? NO. Then either you helped create the team or you simply agreed to join it. That's no ones fault but your own. As easy as it was to join the team, it's even easier to hold the button that takes you back to orbit. Help your team or find a new one, Nancy.

I'm... not? To be fair, I usually play my titan, which means I'm on DPS, and thats typically the cush job. I tend to have a bit more difficulty with the Warlock and Hunter as plate holders depending on the plate/spawn order, but I've gotten drastically better.

25 RepliesI love it when people complain about the relic runner, or gazer, or person running the aura in Warpriest. Yet, they are the first to "volunteer" to be in the top left upper platform (to avoid mechanics) in Warpriest Or They immediately say they will help out in the pit at Golgoroth. Or They immediately call out numbers at Oryx as soon as you get through the door. Just funny is all. In all honesty, especially at this point, people should be able to do every position in the raid.
