Guide to becoming a better crucible competitor

Destiny: MP mode tips and tactics Multiplayer mode isn't for everyone... With that said, let's discuss some tips to help get you out of the crucible in one piece (haha shout out to Luffy) and hopefully out of the negative KD ratio zone. First, let's establish our types of multiplayer arcs: The Flanker: should be skilled in the use of pulse/assault rifles and shotguns... Flankers are all about the "up close and personal" approach to the game. They are important because they set the table for our next arc: The Marksman: should be skilled in all precision weapons like pistols and sniper rifles. They should also seek out the highest vantage points on the map; making the job of the Flankers easier. The Elite: this one should be self explanatory; these are going to be your best active players in all combat situations. A team full of elites will most likely steam roll through any competition you will encounter... unless you compete against another team of elites ;) The Camper: some Flankers will adopt this gameplay style for personal reasons; they may not be great at initiating engaged combat, so they lurk in the shadows, waiting for unsuspecting guardians to ambush. I see a lot of novice crucible players using this tactic. Tip #1 Sometimes it's good to be aggressive... Especially if you're equipped with a fusion rifle or shotgun. Attack the enemy first... You can worry about your KD ratio later on. Avoid "bottle neck" scenarios; hall ways are infamous for bottle necking because of the limited maneuvering space. Fight in open areas if possible. Tip #2 Think about what you're doing, but not too much. You want your instincts to be your guide, but you also want to be in the most advantageous position possible. Don't be afraid to disengage and retreat. The other team can't score if they can't kill you ;) (technically they could for go pursuing you and focus on your teammates, but let's deal with the "lone wolf" scenario for now... assuming you're the worst player in the lobby) Tip #3 Every suggestion so far pertains to the player performing without a "proper fire team party" meaning you're in a group of six, but you're still a "lone wolf"... Group up with friends, and be sure to communicate over your headset. Probably the most important tip I can offer you... A party of six friends (who are quite adequate with Crucible gameplay) will more than likely rack up kills and wins in no time... And lastly.... Tip #4 Have fun... This tactic usually falls by bedside, especially if you're getting hammered (damn Hammer Titans lol!) but try your best... Nothing is more satisfying than scoring a kill on the opposing team's score count leader!!! Make those munitions count guardian!!! And there you have it... A few play styles that can help you identify what kind of crucible competitor you are... And can someone please tell Lord Shaxx and Saladin that the twilight gap battle is over? I'd like to see them shake and bear-hug each other lol!!!
