Fun Ideas for the Warlock

Beware, much text is ahead. Some people have mentioned a way to bring old subclasses up to pace by making a quest called "remaster it." This would change or improve some old abilities. These are my input for the Warlock class after thinking it through thoroughly. The Voidwalker is now less focused on synergy like the Stormcaller is, and moreso on utter annihilation like it should be. Voidwalker: -Vortex Grenade unchanged. -Scatter Grenade unchanged. -Axion Bolt instead is just an explosive AoE grenade. --Axion Bolt was good for zoning but didn't really match the playstyle of the overall subclass. -Nova Bomb does not hurt the user, and deals more damage. -Vortex effect remains the same. -Scatter effect splits faster. -Lance now also greatly knocks back enemies around explosion of Nova Bomb. --Lance needed something else to be good, for those who don't like DoT or less focused power. It would also be nice if Voidwalkers didn't have to live in fear of stupid doorframes as well. -Surge unchanged. -Life Steal now on hit. -Soul Rip now deals small AoE on hit as well. --Life Steal on triggers regen, so on hit wouldn't be bad considering it needs a charge. Soul Rip would then need something else to make it worth it. -Annihilate remains unchanged. -Angry Magic also gives tracking to the Scatter Grenade and tracks more. -The Hunger increases effects given by melee. --Angry Magic actually works now and gives a reason to use it. The Hunger is now also viable. -Vortex Mastery now also pulls enemies into the Vortex, making it hard for them to escape. -Bloom instead leaves AoE where enemies are killed by Nova Bomb. -Embrace the Void now gives life back from ability kills. --Vortex actually does what it is supposed to with Mastery. Bloom scorches the ground wherever enemies are killed by Nova Bomb. Embrace the Void makes this subclass great in the Crucible again and it's a decent perk in PvE. The Sunsinger can now actually support a team as a bard-type. It can also still run solo if the user wishes with a generic build or burn build. Sunsinger: -Grenades unchanged. --Sunsinger already has the best grenades. -Song of Flame also increases reload speed of nearby allies. -Radiant Skin reduces damage taken for nearby allies as well. -Fireborn also revives allies very close to where the Sunsinger dies. --Super is now more fireteam based, as it is our "support" class. Maybe fireteams would want Warlocks in Raids again with these changes... -Flame Shield remains unchanged. -Solar Wind now blinds target and grants bonus agility on hit. -Brimstone now burns enemies around target as well as making it explode. --Solar Wind actually works and can be supportive or useful with a resurrection. Brimstone contributes to the "burn build." -Radiant Will now increases Radiance to 25 seconds, but now takes a portion of Super energy whenever a grenade is thrown. -Viking Funeral instead slowly burns enemies nearby during Radiance. -Sunburst does what Gift of the Sun did, granting two grenades. --Radiant Will is for support. The amount of burn on old grenades was OP, so now we have another contributor to the "burn build." Sunburst wasn't great, so now we have Gift of the Sun here -Touch of Flame instead does what Viking Funeral did, making enemies burn longer and more intensely. -Angel of Light now holds the Sunsinger in place until they let go of the trigger. -Gift of the Sun instead grants two orbs of light upon Super activation. --Touch of Flame makes the "burn build." Angel of Light is just better now, and Gift of the Sun helps the supportive build with Radiant Will. So what do you guys think? Drop a comment!
