New Monarchy sniper Antimony XVI has a permanent 69/69 aim assist while a perfect 1000-yard stare would have 71/71 aim assist rating...which means you would need Hidden Hand and then a scope like Short Gaze or LongView SLH10....
and the Antimony has slightly higher ROF with slightly less Impact compared to 1000-Yard Stare...
Best of all the one New Monarchy sells comes with Unflinching and Injection Mold for better stability and handling with the trade off of range, which is useless in PvP (for the most part) as all body shots will kill in 2 for any range, while 1 shot to the head at any range....
Edit) I don't own one...but I'd like too...dont see many ppl with it either...
Edit 2) I've been told range directly affects it so I guess I'll go with it. Still don't understand what the deal is cause the gun has a 69/69 AA
-
I use the glass promontory. It has a 54 for aim assist :) Means I got more skill than those hitches using other snipers.
-
Antinomy has amazing AA. Unfortunately some people hate hate the acope. It's no stillpiercer.
-
Hah, 69
-
Ive used that sniper and I CANNOT STAND IT
-
Been rocking a fusion rifle , every one got used to snipers an shotguns not very many people know how to play against the fusion .... Especially those year2 scrubs
-
It doesn't hit hard enough and it has nasty flinch.
-
Hello again... Range does matter actually, it affects aim assist.
-
It can't revive snipe. I did join new monarchy to get that sniper though.
-
I just can't stand the scope, I had it and used it a lot, I just can't get used to the ata scout
-
Edit 2 is wrong by the way. Planet destiny even made a video about range and it was with one of the developers at bungie. So no point in trying to argue your case OP
-
aim assist is directly tied into the Range stat. The higher your range, on every weapon, the better AA you have. This has been explained in-depth + confirmed by John Weisnewski. Lead Sandbox Designer.
-
One of mine has the same scope as the steal piercer I love it and another has an ultra low zoom scope nice for closer snipes

Edited by firstDead: 11/19/2015 6:51:27 PMThat was one of first legendaries of TTK that dropped for me and I like it, but my two perks are take a knee and guerrilla fighter with braced frame
-
Quit lying to yourselves that Destiny is a great game.
-
guardian down
-
I've got two both are nice can't remember the perks expect both have near maxed stability the only reason I use my 1k Stare instead is it can Rez snipe I don't think the nm one can
-
It's true that some low impact high RoF snipers are amazeballs, like Praedyth's Revenge. People tend to favor the higher impact snipers, though, particularly those on the "sweet spot" (high enough impact to drop someone off the res).
-
been thinking about getting it because it looks pretty good. someday.
-
Mine has feeding frenzy & private eye
-
I have the NM sniper...just need to level it.
-
Range...useless. I loled hard at that statement xD
-
Out of the 2 scopes , which is best ?
-
Hence why I switched to NM last week. I'm about to hit rank three and seeing as that is probably the farthest anyone has probably ever gotten with this faction I'll let you know how well it preforms when I get it.
-
It hurts to read your post. Aim assist only slows down your crosshair while moving over an enemy. Thus its effective when dragscoping. Aim assist kinda decreases with range. So if the range stat is higher your aa will reach a bit further. All in all: aim assist is just something that you have to get used to and nothing that gives you op powers. Some like more some like less. Every sniper that cant 1hit enemies off of revive is crappy anyways.
-
Are you serious. Are you really -blam!-ing serious. First it was fusion rifles Then it was shotguns Now we're saying snipers are too OP Just shut up
-
Range adds to the aim assist stat
