So I've been reading through the grimoire recently. I never really did this before and I wish I would've started a year ago. Reading all this makes me wonder. It brings so many questions to mind I want to ask everyone and see who else wonders the same things. Is there a timeline to the lore or the story? I know there is the very vague golden age, dark age, and city age, but what about actual dates? What year was it that they met the traveler on Mars? around what year did the darkness arrive? What's the current year now? How long has it been since the traveler was incapacitated? How old are some of the famous guardians? How old is my guardian? Does he/she remember anything of his/her previous life? In the first live action trailer dinkle-bot said that it's been hundreds of years since guardians came to the moon? Really? That long? I want it to be more precise. If anyone has ever played mass effect and read through the codex, they have all kinds of dates and specifics on how a freaking gun fires and engines work. I'm not saying Bungie should get that in-depth but maybe tell us a bit more about this awesome universe we play in. I still feel like we know very little and it's been over a year. How about some of the alien races? Do they all travel in the wake of the traveler? If so, why do the cabal even care about a wasted star system? After reading the calcified fragments, it seems like the hive have been going after the traveler for ever. From some race near their home world all the way to our solar system. And the fallen, what's their deal? I get it, they're scavengers, but what happened to them? The grimoire hints at them being some mighty and noble race in the past. Did they also have help from the traveler? Did they go trough the same problems humanity is going through? How about the vex? Where did they even come from? And the ruins on Venus? That's a bunch of wibly wobly timey wimey stuff right there. There is a calcified fragment that talks about the vex coming out of crota and taking over oryx'a throne room for a while. How did that even happen??? Sorry for my giant wall of text. Lore has always interested me in games. This crazy space magic sci-fi world of destiny should be filled with it. But we're missing so much. I've watched some lore videos on YouTube before and I think I'm going to try to watch as much as I can. Thanks or reading and commenting if you decide to do that.
