Vex Strike Idea

This is another idea I thought up. Enjoy. The Nexus Beacon: Vex Strike Location: Tharsis Junction, Meridian Bay, Mars Description:
"Alright, got another pest control job for ya', or in this case, Vex control. Those machines in the old transit system beneath Freehold are stirring up again. This time, they decided to steal the corpses of the Psion Flayers. Now their energy is being moved into a powerful conflux, with Vex guarding it vigorously. Ikora borrowed the Redjacks from Lord Shaxx, and sent them out on recon earlier. She never heard back. Now we need you to stop the Vex from harnessing the Flayers' energy, and keep Freehold in existence. Piece of cake, right?"
- Cayde-6 Part 1: The Enemy of my Enemy... Is Still my Enemy
Players spawn in the entrance to Tharsis Junction. Cayde: "Alright, just like we discussed earlier: Find the conflux, disconnect it, and go home." Ghost: "Well, off into the darkness, I guess." Players advance until they reach the tunnels, wherein they see Vex and Cabal fighting. Ghost: "Looks like the Cabal have the same objective we do. Next move, Cayde?" Cayde: "I don't know, make friends?! Enjoy a cup of tea? If I were you, I'd just shoot everything." Players fight through some Cabal, and a lot of Vex, until they reach the final room, where the conflux is. In front of it are 3 Precursor Minotaurs holding the corpses of the Psion Flayers, seemingly draining the energy from their bodies. Ghost: *timid voice* "Cayde, that's not a conflux. It's a portal to somewhere else. I'm detecting an even greater signature beyond it." Cayde: "Wait, you mean the script was right? Well, do what you see fit--" Commander Zavala interrupts. Zavala: "Let them investigate. Ikora and Shaxx are both eager to find out what happened to the Redjacks team." Cayde: "Ok, you heard the bossy pants. Get in there." The Minotaurs draining the energy look at the players, drop the bodies, and attack. They are named "Paladron, Void Harvester," "Fordron, Solar Harvester," and "Quedron, Arc Harvester." Players engage them, and eventually defeat them. Each Harvester drops an "Eye." These are the relics. Each player will pick up an eye. However, they are not actually held, but are instead mounted. Each have either "Fordron's Light," "Paladron's Light," or "Quedron's Light" as perks. Ghost: "I guess all that's left is to step into the conflux."
Part 2: Martian Temple
Players are carried downward at a super fast speed until they soon reach a room inside a massive cave littered with Vex ruins. Cayde: "Guardian! What happened?! Can you hear me?!" Ghost: "We're here, Cayde. If my coordinates calculations are correct, we were just sent millions of miles below Freehold in seconds. Vex technology continues to amaze me." Cayde: "Alright. All that's left now is to kill the energy signature- whatever it is." The room is more like a balcony. Precursor Vex are putting boxes coursing with energy on a conveyor belt-like contraption, which carries the boxes off the balcony, and up to a hole in the very-far wall across a chasm. The Vex stop what they're doing, and attack the players. Once they're defeated, players will use their Minotaur Eyes still on them to reveal 3 separate paths- each colored either purple, orange, or blue to show which player goes where. As they follow the path, Hobgoblins will spawn on distant platforms, and attack. As players deal with them, they must also ensure they don't fall off the path, as there aren't any guardrails. If they do, they will spawn at the beginning balcony, and start again. Once all players meet at the ends of their paths, a door similar to the entry door for VoG will open. Players step inside.
Part 3/boss fight: Madron, Nexus Beacon
Inside is a room very similar to the boss room in Echo Chamber
For Xbox players, it's a small, circular room with a vertical tube in the middle. Instead of a tube, however, it is a platform with 1 purple, 1 orange, and 1 blue "pipe" each connected to a Vex Cyclops named "Madron, Nexus Beacon." At the moment, Madron is dormant, simply shooting a tri-colored laser (purple, orange, and blue,) up the tube from his "eye," which is facing upwards. Before attacking, all players must insert their Minotaur Eyes into a single Vex statue. The whole room will vibrate, then the statue will present a Vex gun with 3 different barrels. It is a relic called "Energy Splicer." One player will pick up the relic. That is when Madron will look at the players, and generate either a Void, Solar, or Arc shield, which will be randomized. A killfeed message will say "The Beacon signals for reinforcements." At that moment, more Precursor Vex will arrive. The relic holder must find a statue where the proper elemental pipe is connected (depends on which shield is active,) and insert the Splicer. Another message will say "The Splicer is charging." Now players will wait until the Splicer is charged (another message will let them know of that,) while dealing with more Vex. When it is charged, the relic holder will pick up the Splicer, which now has a single bullet, and acts like a Fusion Rifle. The player will fire at Madron's shield, which will take it down. The players will then attack Madron until it generates the next random shield. When Madron is attacking, it will fire multiple lasers rapidly. The process will be repeated 2 more times. Once all shields are dead, the players will simply fight Madron until it goes down. Cayde: "Solid work there, Guardian." Ikora: "Yes. Thanks to your efforts, Mars will not suffer the same fate as Venus, or Mercury." Cayde: "Hey, don't forget me! I told them how to do it. If it weren't for me, they wouldn't even be here." Zavala: "According to Intel fed to us from your Ghost, that Mind was not the actual Nexus. It was a Cyclops sending out a signal to the Nexus, who apparently is located billions of miles outside the Solar System. Thank our lucky stars you were there." Strike over.
GRIMOIRE
1: Energy Harvesters Fordron, Paladron, Quedron. These are the names of the three Minotaurs assigned to steal the energy of the Flayers, and deliver them to the other Vex far below. Even still, this is the first time Precursors have ever been spotted in the real world. Our only guess as to what they were planning was that if they couldn't terraform Venus, they thought they could with Mars. But why steal Elemental energy? Sekrion didn't need the elements to do its job. Maybe there was something more to it. But whatever plan they had, it's been foiled now. 2: Madron, Nexus Beacon To Ikora Rey - My Thoughts on Recent Events Ikora - Did you ever have any knowledge of the Vex's doings on Mars before now? I can already hear your reply: "Not enough then. And still not enough now." That's typical of a Warlock as thirsty for knowledge as yourself. I want you to look back at old records of Vex doings. On Mars, Venus, Mercury, everywhere. Now take into account an old Golden Age saying: "Time repeats itself." A silly phrase at the time, but not so, now. The Vex are infatuated with controlling time. But mess with it, and you just might find yourself repeating something over, and over again. You expect something different to happen, but nothing ever happens. Some others considered that the "definition of insanity," but forget that for now. Notice how the Vex have been repeating themselves? They activated the Venusian Nexus, we stopped it. They attempted to activate the Martian Nexus, we stopped them. In the legendary Vault of Glass, they summoned Atheon over, and over, but we killed it time, and time again. Nothing changed. My theory, is that we finally have the Vex beat. We have driven them to utter insanity, beating them at every turn, contradicting each and every possible outcome they could dream up. Time is relative in all things. The Vex have either sunk into insanity over a large period of time, or time itself has drove them mad. Just a thought. Master Rahool, Cryptarch
STRIKE LOOT
Energy Splicer: Legendary Fusion Rifle (Tri-Elemental.) "I have made a wound in the very fabric of space, one which cannot heal."- Kabr, The Legionless Pre-determined Perk: Element Switch This weapon can switch between all elements. Perk: "Distabilizer" Each shot will ricochet 2 times before stopping. Beacon's Signal: Legendary Titan Gauntlets "Warning: If you feel as though you want to call out to something beyond the stars, unequip immediately, and hand over to nearest Warlock." Perk: "Madron's Embrace" Void damage is decreased, and instead supplies your shield.
Thanks for the read! Feedback is much appreciated! EDIT: Changed the names of the Minotaur bosses in the beginning. EDIT 2: Edited the Strike itself, and the Grimoire slightly.
