So about 2 or 3 days ago i was doing atheon for no time to explain, and then i got my first mytho! (So did my other friend) So me and my friend went into crucible and it was like a heavy machine gun
It did 46 to 43 to the head, and around 28 to 30 on bodyshots.
It also took down a sunbreaker pretty well too.
And the strange thing is, i dont see ANYONE using it. I could probably go unbroken with it lol.

If you could reliably land all headshots it would be S tier...but unfortunately it suffers from fusion rifle mechanics. With the TTK fusion rifle changes, it has even more apparent bullet travel time. It functions best in a CQC environment while hip firing so that you can at least land all of your shots...problem is your damage output becomes less than ideal (same issue that auto rifles have for competitive play) Then there's also the issue of range/stability. If you spec for range your aim assist goes up and damage dropoff isn't that much of an issue. The low stability just makes it bounce around way too much to even benefit from the range bonuses. Then again if you spec for stability at least you can land headshots, but you can't take advantage of the headshot bonus if your range limits you to CQC :/

Back in the days... it was ny favorite gun.

Will never dismantle any of my Vex's. Haven't used since 2.0 weapon balance but it's still insane in PvP.

Edited by GhOstly__Kn1ght: 11/9/2015 6:45:40 AMMine is still in the vault, It's one of them weapons that i cant bring myself round to dismantling.
-
Because it's a year 1 weapon and people don't use them anymore unless they're dicks.
-
The who what now? Speak up sunny I haven't been able to hear well since the age of dinklebot and the archon priest
-
I used to use it in TDB but it's been accidentally and purposely nerfed so many times now. Steep damage falloff and terrible accuracy. Dps actually feels weak because half the shots miss even when on target. Runs out of ammo fast too. Occasionally it will shine at that perfect close/medium range when held on someone's dome. But those moments feel like the exceptions now
-
Anyone remember how beast it originally was in crucible before the huge nerf? It pretty much made you invincible.
-
Yep, ,,!, it
-
I loved it in iron banner in y1

Edited by Shuriken Star: 11/9/2015 8:05:16 AMIt's good in PvP, until you run out of ammo. Very often. Increased fusion rifle ammo perks make it tolerable but, even then, it's nothing compared to its original glory. It was pretty much a scout rifle w/ the firing rate of an auto rifle, plus solar damage and cool SFX.
-
My best Y1 games were with the Vex, between TDB and HoW. It was in a good place, powerful but not game-breakingly OP, just before HoW. Then it got hit by the fusion rifle accuracy nerf.
-
It has terrible range and accuracy. If you think its good now, you should've seen it when it first came out. The original mythoclast may be the most op weapon this game will see
-
If bungie bring their year 1 raid exotics into year 2 I would gladly wipe the dust off my Necrocasm and Vex Mythoclast. Outside of regular crucible they're useless. Bungie loves to make their old content irrelevant just so ppl can buy and play their new content.
-
Yea I did forget
-
I haven't. Still have all 3 of mine, just can't bring myself to dismantle them. :(
-
Na man. I use it often. Anytime there's a solar primary quest or whatever. Then I end up using it for hours. It's such a perfect weapon.
-
-
No, I just used it in crucible yesterday
-
Saw someone using it in Trials
-
Hahahahaha you put #MLG
-
Had this gun literally a year ago when it was the most powerfull thing in the game. You are very late.
-
I got mine pre patch for year 1. It had 56 rounds & would kill in three shots to anywhere.
-
I want to get it so bad
-
I played around with it a while ago equipped my sunbreakers and gave players a taste of year 1.
