There I was standing in line at gamestop chatting it up with other guardians from around my town when I was called for my copy of taken king. I felt a rush of excitement when the plastic case hit my fingers. I sped out of the store and back to my house. I bought a bunch of energy drinks and snacks for the long night to come. My friends were waiting for me in a party when I got back. After about 20 mins of doing year 1 activities and anxiously waiting for reset, I got disconnected from xbox live. This was the start of the worst weeks of my life. My internet provider told me they were no longer providing service to my area. 2 weeks went by with no internet or any destiny. I saw all of my friends leveling up and doing cool quests, and I was here scrambling to find someone to give me access to the best looking game I've seen. But alas nobody was able to get out to our rural area with high speed Internet. Finally we settled with Hughes net. (Giant mistake) it is satellite Internet. So there is barely enough connection to get me on the servers but nobody would be in my game. I was all alone fighting an army of taken. I slowly progressed through soloing court of oryx and trying my hardest to get strikes done. Then there was a light in the darkness of my solitude, my mother had moved into a new house. I reconnected with my old raid team and soared to glory by having a fire team at my side.
Thanks if you read all of this. I know it was long, I just needed to share how destiny has me wrapped around its finger.
TL :DR my internet went out the night of taken king release and I had to solo my way to glory
