Lets make non-endgame activities more replayable!

I was thinking to myself about what Bungie could do to give us more things to do (especially those who aren't able to do the more endgame tier activities) and I came up with an idea which I think could fit nicely into the current system and allow for a lot more fun to be had while running strikes. This could even be extended into other activies (PoE, Story missions, maybe even raids?). Essentially, there could be a new difficulty under the Normal, Heroic etc ones on strikes/activities, a "Custom" difficulty. Upon choosing this difficulty you are presented with a visual list of all of the available modifiers in the game (a grid with icons, maybe?). You can pick whatever modifiers for that mission (think skulls from the Halo games) and these will be active when running the activity.. Multiple modifiers can be picked with a limit of, say, 5 or 10? Now hold on, Bungie says, what's to stop people from doing this and farming strikes with all of the positive modifiers (brawler, small arms, specialist etc) on? Well, all modifiers should have positive or negative scoring next to them. The ones that increase the guardian's power will have a positive score, and the ones that negate our power/buff the enemies will have a negative one. The scoring for the modifiers will change the quality of the drops that can be found from the bosses/enemies in the activity. The higher the score, the more % chance of legendary/exotic rewards. Certain (more difficult) combinations could even potentially match/exceed nightfall tier rewards (think mythic difficulty on Halo). And some combinations will just be for fun, so the loot drops might not be great, but the gameplay will more than make up for it. [b]As an example of how existing ones could be scored -[/b] Epic: +10 Lightswitch: +10 Arc/Void/Solar Burn: 0 Small Arms: -10 Specialist: -10 Brawler: -10 This would allow for Bungie to add in some more fun modifiers, without making it easy to farm for rewards (so people can play for the amusing gameplay and not exploit the modifiers). [b]Here are some of my ideas -[/b] Overcharge (All abilities recharge is greatly increased): -20 Birdie Legs (Guardians are granted max agility): -10 Straight to the moon (Unlimited guardian melee, which knock back enemies with triple force): -10 Stealth (Guardians are given invisibility, enemies are given detection spheres - like the TTK mission): -10 Endless supply (Guardians ammo recharges at great speed): -10 Moonbounce (Low gravity): -10 Lethal (Guardians take and deal triple damage): 0 [b]And some modifiers to make the activity a lot more difficult, with higher potential for good drops -[/b] Caffeine (Minions of the darkness move and fire at triple speed): +20 Corrupted (Guardians cannot use any abilities, weapons only): +20 Blinding (Guardians are marked (as in VoG), killing or assisting to kill enemies resets the timer (countdown would be about 30 seconds to blindness)): +20 Mitosis (Taken Psions appear in great numbers, with doubled cloning chance): +10 Overrun (Taken blights appear in great numbers, in addition to the normal troops): +10 Minefield (Taken proximity grenades litter the map (loads of them)): +10 Paradox (Guardians are sporadically teleported every so often (within a certain radius)): +10 What on earth (Projectile speed is doubled): +5 [i]Got a little carried away.. Feel free to comment with your thoughts on my suggestion, or your own ideas for new modifiers and scoring (to make them fair)![/i]
