Just a few things to note: [b][u]Engrams[/u][/b] -Be sure to have your highest character decode every gun engram. They will decode to higher levels based on who took them to the Cryptarch. e.g. If you decode engrams with your 296 Hunter, the items are going to decode at a higher level than if you used your 264 Titan. You can do this with armor as well, but keep in mind that the engram will decode to whatever class decrypts it. -Always equip armor and weapons to push your light level to its highest [i]before[/i] you decode engrams - this will cause the gear you get from the engrams to be better than it would have been otherwise. -If you are decoding multiple new engrams, pause after each and check it's light level number. If it has a higher level than what you currently have equipped in said slot, stop decoding and equip it before moving on to decode the rest. -Always decrypt exotic engrams on your highest light character. If the character is over 300, there is a good chance the item will decrypt to 310. [b][u]Infusing[/u][/b] -When infusing an item with a higher light level item, the lower level item will get roughly 80% of the difference between the two. It is better to wait on infusing until you have something that is substantially higher in power in order to get more out of each infusion. -You can infuse armor between the classes. e.g. you can take warlock gauntlets and infuse them into titan gauntlets. [u][b]Three of Coins[/b] [/u] -Always keep a coin active on your character. When it is active, you will see "IX" icon on your character page next to your primary weapon. This means the coin is active and will remain so until you kill the next named boss.
