freaking vegan

Last night I was watching tv, and I came across this wife swap program on channel 4 Fox. one of the wife is a vegan, which is a short word for vegetarians.. and the other eats nothing but meats. The vegan wife is a total -blam!-, and she shows it by the way she looked at others, and the way that she talked to them.. she's all like, "I am a vegan, I don't eat anything that can move and make sounds". she's just rude about other people's way of living. And of course the meat eating wife is all nice to the other family, she even went to a vegan party where they only serve veggies, (they didn't bother to make anything for her). Later on she went home and told the vegan husband that she's going to make a gumbo for the next party, the husband told her they would just leave the table and not even bother to try what she's going to make.. HOW RUDE IS THAT?

 • I've watched meet your meat and to this day if there isn't a dead animal on my plate I'm not happy. The bull castration was hard to watch though.

 • Meat is over rated. Watch "meet your meat" and you'll realize why I've cut down on my meat intake.

There is a difference between vegetarians, and vegans. There are other categories as well - but I can not remember their names. Each named type has different "rules". If I am remembering correctly, Vegatarians will eat the by-products or an animal - like milk or cheese (but obviously not the animal); but Vegans are even more strict - they will not eat the by products of an animal either. For the record I am a meat eater.
I think vegans don't eat dairy and vegetarians can. o, maybe i should read the whole post next time. *slaps self* [Edited on 6/16/2005]

 •
Posted by: gonabustUup Yea, I can't live without meat either. I absolutely love beef stroganof(sp?) because of the meat. Why do vegans think that it's wrong to eat animals? They were put on earth for other organisms to eat so they can live too.
Mmm, I love beef strognfawdofnvewiofbnof (sp?) too. I guess those people just think eating anything is wrong, I guess I can understand that. But I hate it when people act superior because they think they're doing the right thing.

It's not like I mind people who choose not to eat meat for religious or health reasons, or even the ones who do it because they think it's wrong. It's the ones who become all self-righteous and think they're doing the world an enormous favor by abstaining from meat, and then think that their line of thinking justifies them going out and trying to "convert" everyone and pretend like they're better people because of their new "enlightenment" that piss me off. Did you know that more animals are killed per year in crop harvests than are killed for human consumption?
Wow! Poor Chipmunks...
