•
Posted by: Texas Ben
Posted by: ninja de fuego you guys dont seem to appreciate the value of TKAM. just because its slow doesnt mean its not a great book. if you want a boring book, look at the glass menagerie.
While it IS a great book, it definitely isn't the best I've read... I maintain an ulhealthy obsession with Farenheit 451, if you haven't noticed yet :P
hehe. Anywho, I agree that Farenheit 451 is good, Huck Finn is good, Night is definitely a good book...Great Gatsby was ok...that's all the good ones from school I can think of right now. As for stupid books, Scarlet Letter is the only one I can think of right now. (by the way, I know a lot of you probably like that book so don't take it as a personal offense that I think it was extremely boring.)

 • 1984 was a total rip-off of all the rip-offs of 1984. I liked the movie adaptation of to kill a mocking bird (the real one)... until I read the book and found that the movie took the plot, threw it in a blender, and then tried to tell the story... Used book stores are great...

 •
Posted by: The Happy Jack freshman right? I personly dident like that book but the worst book in the world has to be "house on mango street"
OMG I hated House on Mango Street and I wasnt too fond of Fahrenheit 451 either. TKAM was actually a pretty good book, and Im not just say that because our teacher Ms. Barnes said "It is my favorite book so of course it will be yours too because you can understand the underlying meaning of the books... and therefore it will be your favorite books, right children?" w/ an evil smile on her face.
