Sunbreaker nerf without nerfing it.

To not nerf but nerf the sunbreaker bungie should rework the Celestial nighthawk and achlyophage to bring the golden gun in line with the new subclasses in terms of power, because why use golden gun when you have the hammer of sol. So give the Celestial nighthawk 3 shots for the year 2 version, this way it competes with hammer of sol in pve and gives hunters in pvp a clean one hit kill against sunbreakers and allows them to still get off two more one hit kills, just like bungie originally intended(vanilla destiny). As for the achlyophage, give it five or six regular golden gun shots. This allows it to be much more useful in pvp because it gives the hunter five or six kill potential just like the sunbreaker. As for pve it allows you to clean up more adds and create more orbs for your teammates, which of course allows them to make more orbs for you and the cycle continues. I'm just spit ballin' here, but I think that seems like a fair why to balance sunbreaker without nerfing it. Any other ideas are welcome, haven't thought about blade dancer yet but in sure there is a way.

  • The issue is, hunters shouldn't NEED and exotic to take on a HOS. A base HOS(no exotics to it) should be defeated by a single shot from base GG(no exotics). And if HOS has an exotic for armor, then a hunter will need an exotic to keep up. And the proposed buffs that the helms would receive would absolutely break GG in terms of the frail PVE balance.
