Why make weapon parts MORE rare?

Some of us (like me, who had three of every gun maxed out prior to ttk) are already really hurting for weapon parts. Now you're reducing the amount we get from blues and greens? Totally uncalled for. Edit: from Danceshanedance
Reducing weapon parts makes no sense whatsoever in the taken king. With the expansion we're encouraged to infuse weapons rather than dismantle them. This costs weapon parts we already have and also denies us the weapon parts from the weapon we may have discarded.
Edit 2: *buys sorrow emote * *drops to knees to grieve death of weapon parts* Edit 3: lots of folks seem to want an explanation. Please post and maybe we can get an answer! Edit 4: From Cookieniki
If we are supposed to infuse weapons instead of dismantle them that means weapon parts are already more hard to get in TTK. That's why I don't agree with this nerf, it's not consistent with the new gear leveling system TTK introduced.
Edit 5: ayyy trending Edit 6: literally noone cares that you have over nine thousand weapon parts. If you came here to say that, you should apologize for being a troll and gtfo Edit 7: From sb001001
I thought the part of getting more weapon drops in TTK was actually to try them out and have some fun using them? Now, I’ll only level up the weapons I know 100% that’ll be useful to me, making me scrap all other without even giving them a try. I fail to see how this makes destiny more fun...
Edit 8: Lots of folks are linking these changes to the new eververse trade company. The more cynical of us believe weapon parts will become more available, sometime soon...From BR1M570N3:
The game is being tuned to create an economic imbalance wherein the player is always operating at a deficit for currency and/or materials. They'll do this slowly and in the most imperceptible ways possible so as to keep people playing while they gradually dial up the inconvenience factor, and tempt people to hit the "easy button".
Edit 9: SPEEDFREAKJJ:
In the end...it is totally crap that they first, design a new way to play the game in how we are encouraged now to get gun we might like, then need to infuse it to be more usefull in heroic strikes, nightfall, etc and to then make a vital resource used to infuse weapons more tedious to obtain is most definately un-called for at least. To call it a kick in the junk is probably more accurate.
Edit 10: we got an answer! Time to digest it in the bile filled forum sac. From Deej:
“Why did you change the economy for Strange Coins and Weapon Parts?” In Year 2, we took steps to streamline and simplify the economy for players, with hopes that providing more direct paths to gear and the stuff you needed to upgrade that gear would just be more satisfying across the board. Changes to economy of the game are made in the interest of preserving the value of the items in your inventory and ensuring that you have good uses for the things you’re saving. (????) Weapon Parts, specifically, have been particularly vexing. Some players use a LOT of Parts, whereas others use almost none. Still, we are very aware that this is a choke point for some players, and further adjustments may be in order.  In all cases, we're still watching our reports and listening to feedback, and we will continue to react to how things are going.
