As I previously stated on my first post I'm a New Monarchy supporter. Now I'm rank 81 with them and still going but I feel as though the factions need to be more involved. The only purpose of the factions is to level them up and get packages and hope to get a weapon or armor piece that is higher than what the faction vendor is selling. Another reason is to get ships and shaders but that's about it. I did my research with the Grimoire cards and there were conflicts known as "The Faction Wars". The concept is interesting but what if we can relive it? My thoughts are there should be more faction specific quests surrounding the factions and with each quest you gain a certain amount of reputation. Reputation can be gained in a lot of ways now however, it goes up very little unless you have lots of Motes of Light which seems to be the best way to get reputation. Upon completion of these quests you can receive a faction exotic and I'm not talking about a class item. I find it strange how factions only have class items that are exotics and not weaponry. Maybe the weapons can have a perk or something that will say "each kill will gain you a chance of reputation "for your faction or "the more kills you get this weapon before death grants you reputation, death will slow your progress" something like that. Another idea which I had is to have a crucible playlist which is titled Faction Wars. In the matchmaking portion of this you would be paired with guardians who support your faction. For example, if I'm representing New Monarchy I would be paired with New Monarchy members and the same thing can be said for FWC and Dead Orbit. It could be like a three way Skirmish or three way clash or something like that. The winning team is granted bonus reputation for their faction and the team that's in second place will get reputation as well but not much compared to the winning team. Also just like how there is a "Vanguard Streak" there should be a Crucible Streak or Faction Streak. The winning team would stick with that fireteam and the more wins the better chances of getting Legendaries for their desired factions and or Crucible. Rewards could also include a Faction Exotic as well. Just a side note, I feel it would be cool before you fight off the rival factions you have your head representative speak before the battle instead of the usual Lord Shaxx. Just imagine Arach Jalaal of Dead Orbit saying something like " We need to find light elsewhere Guardian, crush those who stand against us" or something along those lines Whew, that was a lot to write but those are just my ideas for the factions. I stand by my statement that the factions should be more involved but what do you guys think? Feel free to agree or disagree. I want to hear everyone's thoughts on the factions as well.
