The Lives of Three Classes: Take 17 {Titan or Hunter?}

Go Titan!

Go Hunter!

Hey there! I couldn't help but notice how much faster I am at rolling out Takes now. Heh. But on a random note, I've noticed how the Hunter and Titan have gotten a lot more attention lately! So, I've decided to arrange a poll between the two; The adorable, lovable, and loyal Titan. Or the egotistic, swaggering, and above-all awesome Hunter? Is this a fair fight? Or no contest? You be the judge! On ANOTHER side note, the plot's coming up soon! Be excited, be very excited!
Missed the previous Take? The Warlock muttered as she loaded ammunition into her rocket launcher. The Hunter moved out from behind a wall, a Golden Gun in hand as he shot a bullet at a Harpy that was mobbed with other Vex. The combustion from the Harpy caught onto the the mob, making a chain reaction of combustion. "You mind hurrying up there, Floofy?!" The Hunter shouted behind at the Warlock. "MY NAME'S NOT FLOOFY!" The Warlock shouted back. The Hunter couldn't help but chuckle. Just like old times... ____________________________ Aiming his rocket launcher at Sekrion, Rush kept a steady finger on the trigger, waiting until Sekrion's shield made its pass around it. Sekrion's shield passing his vulnerable side, Rush shot his rocket at him while the Titan threw an electric grenade at him. Sekrion's three body pillars collapsed, an explosion starting to build up inside his body. Taking cover, Rush and the Titan hid behind the wall as Sekrion's pieces were thrust everywhere. "Heh, we did it!" The Titan cheered, moving away from the wall and into the clearing, looking at the spot Sekrion formerly was. "Ah, another completion for the Vanguards..." The Warlock said, catching up with the two as she dusted off her robe. "Yeah, we did it, I guess..." The Hunter shrugged, also catching up with the others. "Now, we can finally relax for a while!" The Titan stretched, exhausted from the Strike. The Warlock shook her head gently. "Aha... I don't think so, a Guardian's work is never done. We might be called again, soon." "Aww!" The Titan moaned, his shoulders slumped. "Yeah, speaking of which, guys..." Rush addressed the Fireteam. "I might need to go after we get back to the Tower..." The Titan felt even worse than before. He wasn't going to see his new found friend for a while? "But... Didn't you have fun, today?" He asked. Maybe they did upset Rush with all of this business between the Fireteam. Rush shook his head. "No, no, it's not that. It's just that... I don't know... I guess... I guess I'm just not used to being around such a... dynamic Fireteam, you know?" Rush said gently. "And I'd also like to visit a few more places..." The Titan raised his finger to interject, but the Warlock put her hand on his shoulder as she addressed Rush now. "It's alright, we understand." She said warmly. "It was nice fighting alongside you, Guardian..." "Yeah, I guess you weren't that bad to hang around..." The Hunter said, crossing his arms. He was going to miss Rush. Just a little. But that was relatively the last thing on his mind at the moment... "Yeah..." The Titan agreed rather sadly. He was definitely going to miss Rush. He was a fun person to hug! Oh, and hang around, that too... ____________________________ The Fireteam were at the Tower, bidding their farewells to Rush. "Thank you for everything, Rush." The Warlock said, smiling as she shook Rush's hand courteously. "Hey, no problem." Rush smiled as the two stopped shaking hands. He had genuinely enjoyed his time, minus all the trouble between the Fireteam, and the Titan's hugs... And the awkward breakfast. But aside from that, he really had a good time. Taking a few steps back, the Warlock made room for the Hunter to say his goodbye. The Hunter looked at Rush for a moment, before waving his hand weakly. "Yeah, see ya..." He mumbled, disinterestedly. Day wasn't going too well for him... Rush frowned slightly at the Hunter's weak goodbye and, noticing the thickening air between Rush and the Hunter, the Warlock stood next to the Hunter to give him a strong nudge in his side with her elbow. "Oof!" The Hunter grunted as she nudged him, and he grumbled. He didn't want to. He really didn't. "Okay... Okay... Goodbye...." He said properly, stepping back to let the Titan bid farewell to Rush. Rush looked up at the Titan. It was definitely going to be difficult to say goodbye to the Titan. "Ti--" Rush began, but the Titan scooped him up into a big "goodbye hug". When the Titan gave a "goodbye hug" no words needed to be said. The hug was enough. "GNF--!" Rush struggled to escape the Titan's powerful grip. His bones felt as if they were breaking, he felt like his breath was being squeezed out of him, and his liver might be crushed. But... He had to take it... The Titan finally released Rush, and, gasping for breath, Rush kept a hand clutched on his chest where his heart is. Rush started to laugh a few moments afterwards. They really were a fun group. "Hah... Okay, see you guys..." Rush waved at the trio, before calling his Ghost. "Okay, Hunt, take me to Orbit." "Alright, then." Hunt said as he started to take Rush into Orbit. The remaining Fireteam watched Rush's body start to disappear from the feet up, until he was gone completely. "I'll miss him..." The Titan sighed. "Mnh..." The Hunter only grunted. He just couldn't wait to get in his bed, again. All he wanted was this day to be over. Maybe the next day would be decent. "Ah, I shall miss him, too..." The Warlock nodded, agreeing with the Titan. The Titan immediately perked up with a thought. "Can we order out?!" He asked excitedly, clapping both hands together rapidly. The Warlock sighed, shaking her head. Was food all he ever thought about? ____________________________ "Where to...?" Hunt asked through Rush's Jumpship communications. Rush shrugged, keeping his hands on the wheel. "I don't know." He said. "Guess I'll just go patrolling the Cosmodrome..." Hunt didn't reply for a moment. "Are you sure?" Hunt asked for confirmation. Hunt really didn't want to go back to the Cosmodrome, and he figured that Rush should do something else with his time, not be alone again. "Yeah, I'm sure..." Rush nodded, but a smirk crept on his face as he noticed Hunt's reluctance. "And we'll go somewhere else soon afterwards. Okay?" "Oh finall-- I-I mean, alright." Hunt corrected himself, setting the coordinates to Earth. Rush leaned back in his seat, losing himself in thought. He hadn't done much since the incident. What could he do with himself? He thought his heart would always feel numb. Until he'd met those three. Those... Strange three... Heh, Rush thought, Those guys are something else...
Take 18...MATEY?: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/161372359
