What the heck is this!?
I swear in all the time I've been playing (since launch) that never have I ever seen this! Am I late to the party and its always been there? Is it to let you know Xur is near? What the hell is it?! Lol

I noticed this the other day when I saw it glistening in the corner of my eye. Crouched down and inspected it It's the same stuff as the taken portals. That black space time stuff. I thought damn those taken have infiltrated the tower and sprayed a tag on the wall! Doomed I say! Doomed!

It means xur is in the tower. If you look at the roman numerals, its the number 9. It is speculated that this is a marking for the nine, since xur is an agent of the nine blah blah blah Basically it's just that he's at the tower. Lots of people have tried to break down the markings for a deeper meaning but I'm not sure there is one.

Has been showing up in the tower since TTK when Xur is in town. I don't know if anyone has solved what it means yet, but that's the correlation.
