In Halo Reach, which armour ability is the most broken or annoying?
Personally, I feel like it is between Jetpack and Armor Lock.
In the 4v4 maps, I just felt like Jetpack broke every single map.
Edit: Someone voted Sprint?

Is it 2010 again?

Honestly, I thought they were all pretty well balanced and has their uses.

Someone voted sprint for the same reason that people bitch about sprint being available no matter what in Halo 4 and 5. It messes up their camping. Personally for me it was jet pack. Annoying noise, usually just ended with my teammates being killed over and over because they were stupidly using it. Don't get the hate for armor lock. Always loved that ability.

Sorry for armor lockin' cuz I ant got no manners with dem grenade spammers oh and chill out hold on to your rockets

Edited by Smarkdow: 10/9/2015 3:59:11 PMArmor Lock, bar none. The jet pack broke the verticality of maps and any semblance of control, but Armor Lock was a literal invulnerability button that in effect paused the game for 7 or so seconds. Might not seem like a long time, but in a competitive FPS it matters. And of course, it had offensive capabilities (the only AA in which this was the case) as well, as if it needed it.

A lot of people think sprint made Halo 4 bad, yet it was introduced in reach. Makes absolutely no sense lmao.
-
Never found any of them bad because I played on BTB.
-
I never really considered Sprint an armor ability, just something people should have been able to do. But generally, all of them were just annoyances. Those and reticle bloom ruined any competitive feel that game could have had.
-
There was nothing annoying for me in Reach, I adapted to all the things you mentioned, always fun to play, alone or with friends, and a lot of variety. Still play it.
-
I want to know who got paid to say we need an ability that makes you invincible in an online competitive shooter
-
Who cares about people voting sprint. Why would anyone choose hologram? I used that I think a grand total of one time for the entirety of the time I played reach.
-
Armor lock was annoying. Jet pack? Easy target.
-
Only good thing about Armor Lock was the forge glitch. That was always fun.
-
I was always so salty when I got killed by an armor lock guy.
-
Voted sprint
-
Armor lock for obvious reasons followed by jet pack because it broke map control imo.
-
It's slightly frustrating to have to add kill zones EVERYWHERE in a forge map thanks to jetpacks

Edited by Andreas17Chief: 10/8/2015 7:52:10 PMI would not say any of them really broke it. I never got the timing right for armor lock but I always got my grenade timing perfect to -blam!- armor lock users. hologram was fun but it worked only on unobservant people. sprint is not really a Halo thing, though. I like to use it in literally any objective based game type to have an advantage. That kind of breaks the game because the other things (except for jet pack maybe) help you to get to a skull or a hill faster. In generally I would argue that sprint is overrated. with everybody walking the same speed the game tactical positioning becomes much more important.

See tank a foot away about to run you over Stand in way Activate armour lock Watch tank fly away Reap rewards
-
Armor Lock outside of BTB games.
-
Armor lock. You couldn't go a day without 90% of the halo reach forum being nerf armor lock or "adapt" threads.
-
Nearly every armor ability was extremely poorly balanced and more often then not broke maps. To choose one would make it seem like one was better then the other, when in actuality they were all shit ideas.

Edited by Onyx: 10/8/2015 4:47:17 PMArmor lock was ok in the beta and shortly after release, but when everyone started to use it it kinda became annoying. Everywhere you looked people were using it
-
Why is this even a question?... You knew the answer was armor lock... How does jet pack compare?.... Lol
-
Armor lock.
