Many of us already paid $140 for this game so far, who thinks that this game will be improved by adding micro transactions?
"But you don't have to buy anything" "it wont affect gameplay"
Just remember that gta5 has completely free updates for their dlc and they add in expansions bigger than ttk.

Op, take a look at this: http://db.destinytracker.com/items/consumables/consumable . There are mother-blam!-ing consumables for silver in the database.
-
I bought 2 copies of destiny on the 360 and all dlcs. Then upgraded to Xbox one and bought 2 copies... Then got a playstation and bought another copy and all dlcs.... I don't even know how much I spent on this -blam!-ing stupid game. CANT WAIT TO TRADE THEM ALL IN THO. :)
-
So many games have them its if bungie is being honest and its just emotes but if the make some money off the emotes they might start thinking hey maybe we can add special missions with gear you cant get elsewhere thats when shit get bad but i cant have a go at something thats hasnt happened so calm down people and wait and see?
-
They will absolutely effect you. Rather than releasing major content packs with raids, patrols, strikes, etc. you'll receive mission packs and I guarantee the majority of them will be a previous mission backwards, and eventually (this is not a maybe it will happen) you'll have the "option" to pay for endgame items and gear. This alone will cause the game to be designed so that it's even more tedious if not nearly impossible to progress without paying. Not to mention the cost of purchasing all the microtransactions will vastly outweigh the cost to purchase a single expansion. Absolutely nothing good will come with this and anyone who thinks otherwise is entirely delusional. "I don't care it won't effect me" should not even be an option. THIS WILL ABSOLUTELY EFFECT YOU, PEOPLE.

Lmao 140 I paid 65 then 40 then 40 then 80 how u think I feel
-
These "emotes" are only the beginning. Once ppl start paying out loads of money for them bungie will notice and start making guns and armor for ppl to buy, and then we are really gonna see some serious shit.
-
-blam!- it, I'm just waiting for Mass Effect for a proper SciFi game with a decent story or Borderlands, another game that doesn't explain jackshit of their lore, but at least make me laugh with interesting npcs and enemies alike

Do you guys remember that on 06/24/2015, at the Bungie weekly update, Deej wrote: "If you purchased the existing Digital Collector’s Edition, and you already owned Destiny and both expansion packs, we’ll have some additional information for you soon." well, almost 4 months later and no extra information was give. I have an idea! What about Bungie return aor extra $20 in silver to purchase emotes? At least this way I would not feel totaly ripped off (just a little)!

Self bump

Just as long as it all stays cosmetic. Once they add buying guns, weapons, armors. There will be problems.

Edited by kelloak: 10/9/2015 2:33:49 AMIncoming opinion! If you are easily offended or a little bitch, please steer clear. I think the transactions are great. I don't yet know if I'm going to buy anything, but the great thing about them that I think some people overlook is that they will not affect you at all. At the moment, the things you can buy are dance moves, which won't affect gameplay, or give anyone an edge that's unfair. It's just fun. Also, if you like Destiny, as I do, I want to see what they can do. I'm happy with what I've seen so far, and I can't wait for the future. But to do that, money is needed, and random $40 DLC's wont cut it. If these transactions work and Bungie plays it right then they could be a great source of money, leading to more great Destiny stuff. Idk. If you have anything to add or whatever, please reply. This was just my personal opinion, I'm trying to shed light on Bungie's view. I know some think that it's a moneygrabbing scheme, but I disagree. Oh well.
-
GTA5 is total @$$ compared to Destiny.. but that's just my opinion.
-
Honest to god I'm fine with these transaction. Destiny was the most expensive game to ever make in the history of games, so I think an optional dollar here and there, that doesn't affect game play, isn't a bad thing. Cheers to you Bungie.

Calm down, it's only for cosmetic items
-
How dare you copy me your salty ass doesn't deserve this sexy name!

Edited by Smough: 10/8/2015 4:56:27 PMHey salty, I got summoned earlier but I didn't know by who. But I figured it would be you.

lets hope they don't add more.
