The Queen is...

Savathun, Sister of Oryx Why? Whatever hides in plain sight is making its own plans -The Speaker AURYX said, I shall establish a court, and whoever comes into this court may challenge me. My court will be the High War. It will be a killing ground and a school of the sword logic we have learned from our gods. SAVATHÛN thought this was a great idea. She made a court called the High Coven. XIVU ARATH said, the world is my court, wherever there is war. - Book of Sorrows Who remembers, in the opening scene of TTK, the group standing around the Queen? They are called The Coven. They are Savathun's Coven. If you are doubting this, take a look at the Grimoire card for them: Here is the highlight that is the dead give away that they are Hive:
“We cannot send them all.” Portia reminded. “All but one, the oldest. It stays with us. Sedia, Kalli, Shuro, take the children, tell her they are to be planted into a dead thing to have children of their own.” A plan hid behind Illyn’s eyes, but Techeuns do not share their eyes with others. “What if they are not wise enough for the Dreadnaught?” Illyn turned back to the source. “Sedia, do you not have faith in our Queen?”
They are taking the Worms, possibly the children of Savathun and planting them into corpses on the Dreadnaught so they may start their new army. What else besides Hive would need to be planted into a corpse on the Dreadnaught? Looks like Savathun will be taking over after Oryx as the Guardians refuse to become the new Taken King. Read more about it in the conversation between Toland and Eris, which happens after we kill Oryx: http://destinydb.com/grimoire/701660-kings-fall

    • All I know is: In the beginning cut scene The queen said "We knew how this would end the moment you climbed out that pit" who is she talking to? "The awoken is my family now" who was her family before? "I remember the moment I was born... I still bear the scars" o.O what happened "It's up to you to guide them now, my Hidden friend" is she referencing the stranger?

      • Few problems: -the 'children' they're taking with them are the Harbingers; what exactly the Harbingers are, we don't know, but when we see them in action they don't match the aesthetic of anything the Hive has ever used. Nor do their gravity-based abilities match anything we've seen from the Hive. -the dead thing is the Dreadnaught itself, since literally everything associated with the Hive is described in death-like terms. -the 'Kings Fall' card has someone (yes, probably Toland) talking to you, not Eris. You're the Guardian who entered the King's Cellars and killed him with his own Blighted Light. -Savathun calls her Court the "High Coven" because she's essentially the progenitor of all Hive Wizards. And what do we call a group of Wizards? A coven. See the Story Mission: "The Blighted Coven." The Techeuns being called a coven is due to their alternate title "Tech Witch" and the traditional name for a group of witches is "coven." I believe the Queen and her Harbingers are something entirely different from anything we've encountered thus far. Let's look at Ghost Fragment: Fallen 4, specifically what the Queen says of her lineage:
STARLIGHT WAS MY MOTHER........AND MY FATHER WAS THE DARK.
"The Dark" could be considered the Worm that transformed Sathona into Savathun (hence being a 'father' of sorts). But "Starlight?" That doesn't fit anything we learned in the Books of Sorrow. The Queen may or may not actually be Awoken, but she's certainly not a Hivespawn. And finally, let's be practical here: Bungie has been very careful to give each faction, friendly and enemy, it's own distinct set of aesthetics. Absolutely nothing in the Reef/Awoken/Queen faction has any resemblance to the looks and sounds we've come to associate with "Hive." When Oryx's sisters show up, we'll be able to identify them as Hive on appearance alone.

        • This means that Oryx is not truly defeated then... Also something else to help prove your theory, Savathuns worm feeds on cunning, and the queen is VERY cunning.

        • Just saying, but it sounds like these Hive were on our side. Think about it, at the end of Taken King Eris grabs the weird triangle thing from oryx's sword. That thing was obviously the source of the swords power. This means that Eris and the Queen had conspired all along to get this power, for the greater good. Then we have the second piece of evidence. Planting worms on corpses in the Dreadnaught. If they worked for Oryx, why would they need to plant their own troops on the Dreadnaught? Exactly. They had been planning a coup against Oryx, just like Allak-hul, and were raising an army against Oryx. But what about the Awoken attack? It's simple, the whole purpose of the attack was simply to get the worms close enough. If you look out from where your patrol starts, the Queen's ketch is still intact. That's my theory.

The queen can't be related to hive -___- 1. She lacks the 3rd eye all hive or krill (prehive) have. 2. The grimore cards state that awoken were once human, but no one has a clue how they changed or what changed them.

                          • Thr harbingers burrow into the dreadnaught, literally a ship made from corpses. Once in there the give birth to the little lights they guide us to defeat Oryx.

                          • They are speaking of the Harbingers, if you watch the opening cutscene, you would know what they mean. When the Queen used the harbingers they first flew and changed paths around other ships to reach the dreadnaught. They burrowed themselves into the body of the dreadnaught, which is literallly made of corpses. Since the harbingers themselves are explosions, then by children, they mean that they will detonate and create more explosions.

                            • Great theory, but flawed. How can the queen be Savathun if Savathun is a hive? That's a big blinking light. Ok, let's ignore that. Perhaps Savathun can shapeshift. Who knows. But then why attack Oryx? Ok, so Hive "gods" kill each other to get their power but then return by others doing their deed (I.e. Oryx killed the one sibling and then fought wars because that sibling was of war. This brought them back to life). Now that Oryx is dead, how does the queen/Savathun return to fight again? She can't. Also, what if Savathun is just the worm, not the Hive body? As unlikely as that is, let's humor it. The worm needs to be constantly fed. That means the Queen/Savathun would need to kill constantly, which wasn't possible because there was peace before and after the Reef Wars. Now, you may mention the Prison of Elders, but she didn't kill in there. Otherwise, why have Hive in there? If there's any flaws in my argument, please let me know.
