[u][i]Venture Into The Vault - 2.1[/u][/i] The six land on Venus, near the entrance to the Vault. Rush walked up to the door and touches it, making the floor rumble. "Huh, looks like you did open it early. That... Or the Vault knows me. Or the Fallen Wolves breaking the seal..." Rush turns around facing the other 5, firearms in hands. "We all have one job. To make this the Vanguard's greatest achievement." Rush unholsters his Hawkmoon, spinning it around on his index finger, smiling warmly at his group. "We can do this." Rush ended his short speech, grabbing his Handcannon by the grip. "Hate this place..." Rush mumbles. "Okay, here's the plan." Dennis says, "Anything that glows, shoot them with bullets." Zephyr stifles, trying to hold laughter back. "Sounds good..." Maria sarcastically said and scoffs. "It's like I didn't know Vex were here." "Ms. Sarcastic over here, on point." Gizmo laughs. Maria took her Auto Rifle and smacked Gizmo with it. "Not even... C'mon let's get going." Maria waltzed in the Vault first, leaving the other five behind. Zephyr walks up behind Gizmo and whispers "Wrecked." He chortles and walked into the Vault. Dennis chuckles a little later and moved inside the Vault, bringing Gizmo with him. "She's so disrespectful." "Well, you did say something to aggravate her." Gizmo and Dennis's voice fade. Rush turns around looking into the rocky entrance, staring blankly into the darkness it held. "Well... You ready?" Emilia asked Rush, standing next to him. Rush nods, walking in first, followed by Emilia. "Of course I'm ready, Emmy." Rush smiles as he passed the Trial of Kabr. Emilia looks at Rush. [i]That's the first time he called me that...[/i] Emilia thought to herself, sticking close to Rush. ________________________________________ "So... How does it feel now that you're back here?" Emilia questioned Rush, getting through the tiny crooks and crannies. "Well, I don't feel [i]entirely[/i] sure about this. I mean, if... If..." Rush tried to remember his old Fireteam members. "Who was I talking about, again?" Emilia shrugs and Rush waves it off. "Eh, probably nothing. All I know is, it doesn't feel right." Rush continued. "Weird, I know I was talking about someone..." Emilia and Rush meet up with the others, standing next to a chest. "It's no time for small-talk, Rush. Get over here." Dennis says. Rush nods and walks towards the rest, Emilia shows up shortly after. "I [i]really[/i] like this Vex architecture. It's nice." Gizmo says, scanning the pillars. "It's like... So nice." Gizmo stops scanning, and turns to face Rush. "So... Shall we continue?" Emilia asks the whole team, as they nod, they venture deeper into the Vault. Gizmo stopping at every turn to look at every piece of Vex architecture. "Can you not right now, Gizmo?" Maria says, crossing her arms. "Maria, you need to chill. It's not like something is going to happen." Gizmo sassily back-talked. The two started to argue down the way to the Templar's Well. They continued to argue, not paying attention to the path. Maria spots the edge and stops as Gizmo falls off. "[sigh]" Steam took Gizmo's spot, "Guardian Down..." Zephyr and Dennis laughed aloud, echoing across the area. Maria assisted Steam into resurrecting Gizmo. Steam disappears in a flash of light, reviving Gizmo. He stumbles back, grabbing hold of his Pulse Rifle. "Idiot..." Maria scoffed hitting Gizmo behind the head, causing him to whir. Gizmo rubs the back of his helmet and winces. "Meanie..." Gizmo says walking down to the Templar's Well leaving the rest to catch up with him. As the group meets with Gizmo, who was sitting near the edge, they talked plans after the raid. Vex Clouds appeared, summoning the Conflux. Zephyr points his attention to the clouds, lightning striking from them. A Conflux appears in front of the Fireteam. "Whoah. That's awesome!" Zephyr jumps off the edge to reach the Conflux. "Oh sh- Shimmer, get ready for resurrection!" Zephyr grabbed the ledge near the Conflux, aggravating the Templar. "You may have made [i]that[/i] angry. Don't even know how, but you did it," Dennis says, jumping to the Conflux, then walking towards Zephyr's hand. "Grab on," Dennis reaches his hand out for Zephyr. Zephyr grunts as he is being pulled up. "Good Traveler... Thanks Dennis. That was a bit close." Gizmo and Maria land next to the two, rifles in hand. "Got me a little nervous there, Zeph." Gizmo sighed. "Don't do that again." Zephyr nods at Gizmo's request. Rush and Emilia look down at the four. Emilia gets ready to run, but she's blocked by Rush, shaking his head. "I don't think it's safe down there, Emilia. I'd really advise you stay up here." Emilia looks at Rush, her head slightly tilted. "But, Rush. Don't you think you're being a [i]overprotective[/i]?" Emilia asked innocently, somewhat getting to Rush. "Mmm... No," Rush tried to resist. "Theo's request was to keep you safe, can't break it, won't break it." "B-But..." Rush lightly thumped her helmet, interrupting her. "I will not have another Guardian die." Rush said sternly looking back at the Templar. "You'll stay here until requested." He runs towards the edge and jumps, Emilia tried to stop him but stops herself instead. "Stupid..." She kicked a rock off the edge hitting Gizmo's helmet. "Huh?" He looked around for the culprit. "Eh, must've been nothing." Gizmo faced the Templar along with the others. "Go." Rush said, throwing one incendiary grenade at the Templar, angering it. The team split into partners. Rush took right solo, Dennis and Zephyr in the middle, Gizmo and Maria on the left. "Shoot the engines, don't let them get to the Conflux." Rush said into everyone's private comm link. "Roger." Everyone replied, except for Emilia, following Rush with her eyes. She sighs, crouching and aims her scout for support in middle. "Wish I was down there..." Emilia shot a Goblin near the Conflux. This was going to be a [i]boring[/i] pass-time for her. "Emilia..." Rush said over her private comm link. "I didn't mean to be mean up there. I just want you to be safe. I--... Just stay safe, h- I mean Emmy." Rush continues nervously, and abruptly ending the private comm link signal. She spots Rush on the right, waving at her. She waved back, dismissing Rush back to the his side. "At least he cares..." Theo tapped into Emilia's private link. "Enough <bzzt> to keep you safe." "But don't you think... [sigh] Never mind, Theo..." "You were going <bzzt> to say and I quote: 'But don't you think he's a bit overprotective? Sure, <bzzt> he's quite... charming, and all, bu-'." Emilia shushed her Ghost. "Those are [i]personal feelings,[/i] Theo. Don't state them again." Emilia sternly said. "I just want to finish this, so I can go back to the Tower." "Aye..." Theo unlinked from Emilia's comms. She sighed and three Conflux's appeared.
