So when reach comes out we'll all have to start back at level 1?
Will it be a separate match making system or what?

Yeah. Given that its probably a new sandbox, things have been tweaked, stuff changed... your Halo 3 rank would be meaningless in context of the new game. Don't sweat too much about it. If your strong, you'll be able to rise through the ranks quickly. Hopefully Bungie put some measures in to stop boosting and 2nd accounts this time around.

You didnt keep your rank from Halo 2 to Halo 3, so why would you keep it from Halo 3 to Halo Reach? They are different games and will probably play differently therefore rank cannot transfer.

seriously why do people care about rank that much, i mean just an number near your name. and of course there will be new rank because new multiplayer beta duh. Looking forward to both campaign + mulitplayer equally. but hope they reinvent and revolutise it. that when we player everyones jaw is hitting the floor with amazement. plus a 100% in metacritic LOL [
