*QUEST* "SEALING THE BLADE" *GLITCHED**URGENT!*
The quest says:
"The Wardens you seek are infamous devourers of the Light. Each has its own heinous preference. Together, they guard the Sunless Cell, where Alak-Hul, the Darkblade, languishes." - Eris Morn
Then the easy description:
"Defeat Thracu, Warden of Oryx, and then Alak-Hul, the Darkblade, withing 30 seconds to seal your Arc Edge.
Then it shows me this:
x = Completed
x Defeat Thracu, Warden of Oryx
Defeat Alak-Hul, the Darkblade

That is what it looks like for me.
I have worked very hard on this quest, and I hoped I would get my exotic sword today... It seems I have been deceived yet again... Bungie please help me out with this?

Kill the warden first. If you kill dark blade the warden will despawn.

Seems like you didn't kill dark blade after the little guy within the alloted timeframe, that's the way mine looked when I didn't do it right.

I killed the warden first, and then Alak-Hul within 10 seconds. Quest Incomplete. Did not give me credit for killing Alak-Hul. No exotic sword... FKING GLITCHY SHT...

Bungie please help me out with this?[/quote] it did me the same way. my fireteam killed darkblade and warden of oryx...we killed the darkblade first then the warden..i had my sword equiped and quest but it just said we just killed the warden...we did not kill them with the sword..we didnt know if u had to kill with sword or not. but either way its bullshit that we didnt get the sword..clearly killed them both less than 30 secs easily..this is so stupid..

Mine did the same thing but I died just as the Darkblade went down ( about 5 seconds after my knight did) and I was revived 3 seconds after the end mission screen popped up. I guess I just have to run it again

Kill the knight with the same elemental shield as your sword and then the dark blade within 30 seconds of each other. You dont need to use your sword

2 RepliesHmm, it looks like you killed Alak-Hul, then the Warden. You also did not kill Akal-hul with your sword. There's a possibility that either of those could effect the outcome.

You have to kill the warden first, then the boss. But I am pretty sure you also(who ever is going for the sword) needs to use their blade. I have helped a couple of people today and we were going for the arc blade. One guy didn't use his blade but used a machine gun. When the mission ended the one who used his sword got his, the other did not. So on that, I would say you have to use the sword for the final kill. This is not a mission you can do with randoms. Someone always screws up and kills the boss or the wrong warden.

Regarding your screenshot, the two conditions are, in order: 1. kill the warden, 2. kill the darkblade. After killing the darkblade first, the game checked your quest completion conditions. You hadn't completed condition 1. so the game didn't check any further. After killing the warden, the game checked that off the condition list and then started checking for condition 2., but you didn't kill the Darkblade afterward so that box remains unchecked. As a precaution, most strikes end with the death of the boss so that is probably why killing the Darkblade is last on the list. I don't think using a sword to get the killing blow is a requirement. I haven't confirmed it yet and I probably should do at some point. I usually do use the sword though just in case.

4 RepliesYou have put the warden low on health and the darkblade and then you have to kill both if them in 30 seconds you see how the square next to the darblade isnt green thats because you didnt actually kill him
