WTF is going on with exotic engrams ALL BEING THE SAME???
I keep getting duplicates from exotic engram drops. Two Spine of Young Ahamkara, 2 TLWs, 2 Alpha Lupis.
There is a ton of Year 2 exotics I don't have and I keep getting the same damn things.
And I know what RNG is but this is more than a coincidence. It is doubles of each thing I get, and I can't seem to get ANYTHING FROM YEAR 2.
Hell, I keep getting the same legendary armors 3 and 4 times in a row.
WTF??? I thought Bungie said this WASNT supposed to happen, not GONNA HAPPEN EVERY TIME.
Edit: Just like I thought. Lots of similar, and lots of way worse stories than mine out there. This isn't a coincidence folks. The matrix is screwing with us.

1 ReplyLol prolly not. Exotic engrams are dropping more frequently. Its most likely pre determined how much u can unlock in a month.

1 ReplyIf i receive one more pair of "no back up plans", i swear... Drop rate is about 80%. I got lucky with my ruin wings and immolation fists, but those dropped once and only once. That and i have too many invectives, about 5 from engrams...

My buddy had the same problem you need to delete the game and reinstall it. The new weapon pack must have not downloaded properly and you need to reinstall it for it to work.

Once you hit light level 300 you don't care about exotics being the same.

Bungie needs to get this fixed ASAP. Heck, at this point I think we deserve a free exotic, [i]that we don't already have[/i] for dealing with this incompetence. I got 3 helmet engrams, all Obsidian Mind, which I already had. I come back after doing a few mission, get one more engram thinking it has to be different this time. Another Obsidian Mind. Seriously, fix this nonsense YESTERDAY. Still waiting on that Stag Helmet.

I just keep getting the same slot drop. It seems to be for every 100 gauntlet engrams I get, I get one engram of each other kind of slot. I believe every exotic engram drop I've had using three of coins has been helmet engrams. And I've seen about 15 of them drop. This new loot system is so -blam!-ed. I've wondered for a long time, but now I know that Bungie doesn't -blam!-ing test their patches before pushing them.

I managed to get up 6 primary exotic engrams, I turned one in and it was a Suros Regime. Ok. So I leave to orbit and come back (left hoping it make the chances for doubles to go down) Open the next one and Its another Suros Regime. Done this a few times and I have 6 Suros Regimes now. I'm starting to not want to play anymore.

Sometimes i feel like bungie literally shi**ed on a keyboard to come up with their exotic engram drop rate codes its honestly a problem for the destiny community at this point. And the thing is buungie probably wont pay much attention to it till the next major update or weapon hot fix.

4 RepliesYeah dude I know its really weird. I have had a theory that based on the time/date of the week certain rolls are more likely... Like not true RNG. Pure speculation. I have been decrypting exotic engrams spread out over time and have had success not getting dupes. I have had same experience as you - three chest engrams in a row and three crest of alpha lupi for a titan.

5 exotic helmet engrams all turned out the same - Skyburners annexe.....the odds on that must be colossal :/

I feel you on this. All I want is the hunter exotic that gives shadestep... Bought four engrams this morning. I received two knucklehead radars and two stags... Like -blam!-.. That totals in 4 knucklehead radars and three stag helmets total in my bank. The only way I can justify this is that there are only about a handful of exotics that can drop from engrams now. Specially since most are now quest rewards. But even so. I feel as though RNG is definitely NOT working with me, but against me. The chances of me getting two of the same helmet TWICE are EXPONENTIALLY stacked against me. ASSUMING rng is both truly random AND also slightly in favor of not duplicating. So I definitely think there is some mix up with the programming. For everyone to have this issue is ground breaking considering what bungie said they did to fix the issue.

Bungie said that it would go off your blueprint inventory so that it wouldn't give you multiple exotic engrams of the same engram. Obviously that's not working. Hopefully they See this and try and fix it...

3 RepliesWith how much quicker we are able to get exotics, it makes sense that we would get repeats instead of getting every single one within a week. But it does seem a little broken to be getting the same one a few times in a row, at least let it switch between different ones even if you already have them. Which with a lack of exotic shards for me that's not too bad haha.
