No loot from oryx still used my moldering shards
i completed oryx after the reset and when the chest opend no engrams with loot dropped from it and it used my moldering shards for a second drop and didnt give me either of them my mail also did not have them in it i would like my 2 drops i have been trying to get my helm and i just want my drops from him i can post a video of it after it uploads

I've beat oryx 3 times this week and he hasn't even taken my moldering shards.

This happened to me for HM daughters. Went through the raid completed daughters and didn't get a single item. No shards, no armour, no weapons. Not a single engram either. Said screw it and did oryx.... Same thing... Took my shards and gave no nothing. Not even a single shard in return! This happened on Dec.13th 2015. So disappointed by this.

I've seen several of my friends get one just for beating golgoroth but I always get jack all. whenever a new raid comes out the chest is the FIRST thing I go for, but its always the last thing I get. an by the time I finally get it, a new raid is usually already out. I had to solo crota to finally get a crota chest and then like 2 weeks later taken king came out. this no armor or weapon drop crap is starting to frustrate me to the point where I don't even really want to play cause I'm going to sink like 1-3 hours into a raid I know I'm not going to get anything for. it also doesn't make it any less frustrating when your raid group gets drops they want and then rag on you for being butthurt when really its not butthurt I'm just tired of helping people lvl higher than me just cause it wont drop anything. ive helped like 3 or 4 noobs get up to higher light than me simply because the raid wont drop anything for me. I have 60 damn moldering shards

2 weeks in a row I completed the raid. Each week I received 2 moldering shards. Waste of time. Better off doing iron banner

Everyone all ready knows what RNG is, so everyone who keeps saying "that it's just RNG for you", please STFU. It's quite simple. Bungie decides what goes into the loot table. Stupid shit like antiquated tunes and mouldy shards should not be included in the Oryx loot table. Hell.. I would be happier to see a Gjallarhorn drop than some of this crap. At least the nostalgia would be a better feeling than that of being shat on. Also, Bungie even said themselves that they modified this reward system to give a higher chance at getting gear that you have not already received... Now I'm not calling anyone a liar, but so far the facts say otherwise. Fix your shit Bungie!

6 RepliesI did the raid 3 times this Week and on 3 characters i got ripped off!!. First on tuesday i did the raid with my warlock. I had my 20 Moldering Shards hoping for a good reward at oryx. All i got was 2 Moldering Shards and a chest. I was like Omfg What is this. But i thought oke forget about it Lets grab my hunter. I was yet again on oryx we defeated him got my 20 Moldering Shards ready. Rewards Some arms and 2 Moldering Shards!!. Again!! I was like WTF not again. So after 2 runs oryx took 40 Shards from me and all i got in return was a chest for my warlock and arms on my hunter. So without the Moldering Shards my only reward from killing oryx was Moldering Shards really. Today i was full of hope grabbed my titan had my 20 Moldering Shards and for the third time the asshole took my Shards and got a fusion rifle and 2 Moldering Shards. Really bungie you took 60 Moldering Shards from me and all i got was a chest Some arms a fusion rifle and 6 Moldering Shards Please fix this crap ASAP!!!!

1 Replydon't worries bro. same shit happens to me but i always get the same piece of armor. complete the raid 4 times on all toons here my drop Warlock = 60 moldering shard = 4 chest armor all bellow the one i got equipped right now. Hunter = 60 moldering shard = 4 chest armor all bellow the on i got equipped right now. Titan = 40 moldering shard = NOTHING EXCEPT SHARDS + MARK i think raid loot is GARBAGE and bungie -blam!-ED up on this. remember light lvl 29 4 EVER ... now it's the same but with the taken king.

Some of you need to start a new thread because you're posting stuff that is completely unrelated to this topic. If you got a piece of gear and two shards, that is literally two drops. I don't care if you got your 40th ghost shell that is 300 and two shards, that is still two drops, which means you actually got something from your moldering shards, believe it or not. RNG will shit on you, thats the nature of having random drops, but the real issue, and the issue the OP was looking to address, is when you have 20 shards, oryx takes 20 shards, and then you get literally zero things as a reward. I'm not talking about your inventory is full, I mean you have plenty of room, your 20 shards get used, and you get zero items. Moldering shards read, and i quote, "Extra rewards WILL be granted when defeating Oryx in the King's Fall Raid with at least 20 of these." If you get no rewards, then that description is a lie, the shards are not working as intended, and it is a defect in the intelligence system that drives the loot RNG, and needs to be triaged and resolved. As it directly affects the user experience for those of us that have grinded to be able to complete the most difficult (debatable) content in the game, I would assume something like this would be marked as a high severity defect, and you would use your various customer-facing resources (i.e. DeeJ) to let your customers know that it is being worked on. This is not the case, however, as I have yet to hear DeeJ or anyone talk about plans for this to be resolved. I understand the need to increase "excitement" and artificially enhance replayability by making not only the loot drops RNG-based, but the attack values, which directly affect player level, also RNG-based. That's fine. I'm ok with a roughly 10% chance that an item drops from a boss, and then a 1-in-11 chance for that item to be level 310. I am not ok with lies. Don't lie. TL:DR Everyone: Stop posting that you got "shards and (insert nonsense here)," that belongs on the "wtf I got completely railed by RNG" forum. It literally doesn't belong here, because that means you actually DID get a drop from your 20 shards. Bungie: Seriously? Fix your ish.

They will not give you the shards back Or a weapon Or even a piece of gear What i do not understand, why are you all using them on the normal raid when you all know the hard raid is going to hit us soon. Me and my mates are saving them for that very reason. Higher probability Higher chance of rng Also don't use shards if you are using 3oc's It seems to cancel out the second drop. Thats the only advice i can give you all. Good luck

1 ReplySame here i dont understand the thing is with me is i beat oryx and got a 310 rocket launcher and a 304 hand cannon than i beat him again and got absolutely nothing with 20 moldering shards i didnt even get a shard... seriously bungie you cant be oblivious to whats going on with your community we need you to fix this dont be stingy people will stop playing your game if you think someone will play a insanely difficult raid for weeks just go get one or two things they actually like. if you want people to keep playing AND get what they want just release some dlc content. #DONTBESTINGY we work just as hard playing your game same way you guys made it.

Same thing happened to me. Got pretty much nothing mentionable from the rest of the raid and after we killed oryx my shards were consumed and the only thing he dropped was 2 shards like wtf kind s#it is this

Same here,. Beat hin last week 3 Times and this week 3 Times. I got no primary weapon or any good Loot. Just got 1 Shotgun and 1 Exo. Loot System sucks so much

1 ReplyYah it's busted. Even according to their own description of shards, it's busted. "Extra rewards [b][u]will[/u][/b] be granted when defeating Oryx in the King's Fall Raid with at least 20 of these." Fortunately, I do enjoy just raiding with friends but man, they need to fix that.

I don't understand how oryx is still taking people hours to beat, the whole raid takes a hour to a hour and a half tops. 34 minutes if you want to set records.

2 RepliesThe moldering shards might be bugged. I have read reports on Reddit as well as heard from friends that sometimes it will get applied to someone else in the fireteam. For instance; one particular player had been farming for hadium and turning them in to Eris for moldering shards until he had about 40 of them. When his team beat Oryx another player received weapons and armor who had about 15 shards while he received the lesser rewards (legendary class item). 20 moldering shards were removed from his inventory. It isn't certain but it looks like there might be a glitch.

Looks like this is your first time killing oryx lol Having moldering shard or not has no effect whatsoever on the rng. Farming moldering shards is just another trick for you to spend time doing pointless stuff. You can have no moldering shards and loot 1 gear, 1 class item, 2 weapons, and an exotic. You can have your 20 moldering shards taken and be given nothing. Or a class item. Period. Welcome to destiny.

Same just happened for me. Grinded for over 2hrs at Oryx and didn't get anything but a ghost, despite my 35 moldering shards. You can guess how this makes me feel...I demand individual gifts of raid gear for all such affected!
