Sure there are engrams galore but mostly green. A few blue and hardly ever purple. Even in the chests it's nothing too super cool that I've gotten. I played Court of Oryx 12 times today and only gotten subpar engrams.
Opened the chest of Yuul and was only a calcified something and a blue engram. Some special 3tier mission popped up where we had to solve what each mission was and only ended up getting 2 strange coin. Did the sky burners pass /key / codes -- still blue engram and calcified blah blah.
How has the Dreadnaught treated you guardian ?
Edit 1: I do about 5 patrols missions and never get a legendary engram. In fact since playing the game since launch I've only gotten 2 legendary engrams from random drops. I've gotten most of my LEs from packages.
Edit 2: most of you didn't know what the calcified fragments did until late last week earlier this week, so stop acting like you knew you were getting something great at the time you got one.
-
I don't even go. The loot for taken King in general is bland and weak.
-
there are far more chests than I thought, just the yesterday I found a network of worm tunnels that lead to a chest that I had to use armor of light on just to open it. (BTW, that chest takes like a full minute to open, I kid you not.)
-
I got 5 legendary engrams from a few courts of oryx
-
Loot=hadium flakes
-
Yeah because I love getting 1 moldering shard and 4 primary synth for every raid chest :|
-
Just so you know...those calcified blah blahs are the only was to get the Touch of Malice.
-
I like the purple engram drop buff
-
I'm a tiny bit disappointed that it's kinda small, but I am more happy with it than unhappy.
-
Loot and exploration wise the dreadnaught is pretty meh, but it is still the best patrol zone in destiny so close enough. I was hoping for invisible walls, a lot more mini bosses, and jumping puzzles like in the raid but oh well. They REALLY should have made court of oryx specific legendaries. And I mean an entire armor and weapon set. Also whats up with no raid sidearm? Da fuq?
-
Compared to the other patrol areas, I say yes. Court of Oryx is easily best place to farm in the game once you have the runes.
-
I would say so. Court of oryx, the strikes, calcified fragments, quest lines, and the raid. Can't argue with all of that.
-
If you are under 290 you will keep getting greens, after 300 you get even exotics.
-
I got a legendary today from a regular chest when I was trying to get Adium flakes
-
After about an hour stint and 5 other good players at court you should walk out with 30+ blues and a few legendaries. Btw blues are good now.
-
It's smaller then I thought
-
-
Indeed it is if I'm patrolling seriously then I can rank my crypt arch like twice in 3 hours and I've walked by a few purples on accident a few times lol, but got garbage from the court been playing since it dropped still no antiquated rune sadly
-
I'm with you on this. Fairly small considering it seems to be the same size as other patrol maps. The loot drops are not that exclusive. Being that it is small, that's probably why we can't use a sparrow.
-
Edited by Visarar: 9/28/2015 7:26:28 PMThe drops have increased substantially. What it was before was nothing to this. And btw, Those "calcified something's" as you call them are a pre-requisite for one of the most powerful exotics discovered so far. Calcified Fragments. Get.
-
I've gotten a few exotic engrams (using three of coins), several legendary engrams, and more blues than I can count from patrolling the 'Nought.
-
Those calcified fragments become the best weapon against the daughters of oryx and the big man himself, they are definitely worth the effort in the end. To me at least.
-
What's a green engram? I haven't had one of those since ttk launch day
-
Bungie is a great company that is not going to show players all the amazing things that are included in a DLC within the first two weeks....as weeks and months go by secrets will be revealed and it will keep players hooked and wanting to keep playing the game. :)
-
An exotic engram , 3 or 4 purples and tons of blues
-
Well most of TTK is shrouded in the question and bungie has said that we haven't even scratched the surface of the dreadnaught. Most of the quest only unlock if you have found certain items and even if you find them you might have to find more! For ex. 15 fragments unlock the touch of malice quest (best scout rifle in the game) so the deadbaught is full of loot just not for us to find yet

Edited by Nate the Turbo Virgin: 9/28/2015 7:23:29 PMI haven't gotten a green engram in over a week. Argument invalid
