Remember the good old days where Golden Gun actually did some damage to Majors and Ultras? Those days have long since passed, instead, we live in an age where the Gunslingers of Destiny are forced to turn to PvP for their thorough enjoyment of their skillsets. I have noticed that over time, Golden Gun has persisted to be less and less powerful for one of our favorite sub-classes. It was in the beginning that Golden Gun was truly a viable special ability one could use against any and all PvE enemies, now, even shooting all three shots at an on-level Major (or even just an elite Knight or something) will merely piss it off, not even a dent.
What I propose; Buff the Golden gun in PvE, we as Gunslingers need to be able to both function and survive on our own in the dark depths of this universe full of evil, as well as assist the team that may soon follow us into the fray.

True For anyone saying celestial well that's not good enough I mean come on ya your shot does 6x damage but it also removes being able to take out multiple enemies unless you lead them and put them in a straight line cause of keyhole but if you're in a higher level engagement you knoq dam well you can't just wait till the enemies line up for you Its needed a pve buff since the game came out cause once you get to higher levels golden gun is a tickle machine and you'd have better luck killing a major with a common shotgun without a burn

Bump.

I agree on the pve part, GG issent up to par compaired to other supers. A extra damage buf in pve or some extra shots. Extra explosions to others just like the titan super or something. Chosing between 3 options in the subclas menu, extra damage over time, extra shots or big explosions would be nice i guess! (Dont play hunter myself, addicted to titans since day 1)

Honestly, I think the Disagree votes are trolls lol
-
Didn't you just get an exotic that upped its damage? Nighthawk I believe...
-
It doesn't need a PvE buff for the same reason a defender Titan doesn't need a PvP buff

Edited by Darches: 10/4/2015 5:28:04 AMCELESTIAL NIGHTHAWK WOW GG performs against majors just like every other super.

Bungie still truly hasn't addressed this issue.
-
I agree Celestial Nighthawk is awesome, but come on... I need to have my super kill a Major without an exotic piece of equipment. Is asking for a two shot too much?
-
I'm ok with Gunslinger as is. It'd be nice to kill a Sunbreaker in one shot but a quick fix to that is to just shoot them twice I suppose.
-
Bump the poll speaks for it's self If a shotgun is stronger than a golden gun there's something wrong there id say a 20-40% buff to AI combatants or a buff to some of the exotics Perhaps deadeye or another perk could improve damage, I'd sacrifice combustion situationally if I could pump out more damage per shot
-
If it got buff that makes it good in pve (without nighthawk) then it needs a pvp nerf subclasses like defender and sunsinger are top tier in pve but not in pvp (besides trails then sunsinger is good) no class should be great in pvp and pve
-
It was mainly for killing crowds even FoH is failing on some of these new majors
-
Celestial nighthawk you tool

Edited by roman_emp85: 9/23/2015 6:05:39 AMBump. Maybe then people will stop crying for HoS nerf. People, please request buffs where they are needed instead of demanding everything else gets nerfed.
-
The buff you're looking for is called "Celestial Nighthawk"

Golden gun and blade dancer suck harder than Sasha Grey and Lisa Ann in a all male Catholic School. I'll Max out my Night Stalker and use that for a while. Every other character and they're sub classes are really well balanced but not these two. Not in PVE.
-
Titan approved.
-
I did not believe they needed them before until I completed my nightstalker subclass and switched back to my favorite gunslinger class. I have a 290 nighthawk which limits golden gun to 1 shot, but at 6x damage. That did some nice damage to a Taken Champion (42,000+), but when I used just my 3 shot golden gun on ordinary majors, it barely scratched them. Maybe I got spoiled by having 4 shots of the golden gun (Love that parasitic helmet!) but it definitely does seem weaker without that forth shot.

Does alright with my celestial nighthawk 290 but agree it should do better as a normal super in PvE
