The Guardian's Comeback

It was night. Dust blew across the darkened wasteland. The red sands of this planet's deserts were unending and unblemished bar the sparse rock formation or dug trenchwork. However, on this night there was an oddity. Some hours ago, where there had been nothing but innumerable dunes, now held the smoking and sparking wreckage of a ship. The space vessel was broken- its metal twisted and its frame scattered. And yet, something stirred. From what appeared to be the vehicle's cockpit a figure (assuming to be the pilot) who stumbled from the scrap that was once his ship. The figure was tall- male in figure. He is dressed in dark garb. His golden eyes looked around himself as he found his bearings. This was Prince Uldren Sov, Master of Crows and brother to the Queen of the Awoken, Mara Sov. The Prince tried to calm himself again, forcing long breaths. He realized where he was: Mars. Athabasca. The Candor Isles. He hadn’t been here in so long, not since he found the Black Garden. He turned in despair to find hundreds of his Crow drones, deployed on Mars long ago, circling his ship, waiting. “Welcome back, Master.” The one closest to him spoke first, and the others followed, a wave of salutations echoed throughout the dry sea. And with that hope returned. “Begin repairs on the ship immediately. Something has gone missing and you will help me find it.” As the drones set about their tasks, the stranded prince began to turn away but was stopped by a single Crow that had remained. "What is it? Shouldn't you be focused on your orders?" He asked the machine The small Crow folded in its wings and responded. "Well in that case Master, I feel like I should inform you of a message that has been broadcast over Mars and intercepted." The prince had yet to look impressed. The message was most likely nothing that concerned him. "There are more pressing matters than the Cabal. Whatever their orders are mean little at the moment. So, I suggest-" " If I may interrupt, Master. This message isn't from the Cabal High command, nor is it remnants of Vex Codes. It originated from off-planet. We can't determine an exact sender, but what is interesting is that it is addressed to you specifically, Sir. 'The Lord of Crows'." Now that caught Uldren's attention. Who could possibly know about his location? Maybe it was Petra and the Awoken. If it was them, then it would make the current situation so much easier for him. Of course, there was always the possibility of it being the enemy. The Nine could also be a possibility. They tended to meddle in affairs like this without rhyme or reason. "What is the message?" He "It is a recording-" The Crow began, before a hand shot out to hold the drone firmly and was "Then play it already!" Uldren ordered sternly- patience waning fast. The Crow blinked and static sounded- signaling the playback of the recorded message. "To the Lord of Crows,..." The voice struck a chord with Uldren. He had met this person before, although couldn't recall where exactly. It wasn't the Awoken. It didn't seem to be a Cabal or Fallen. Surely it wasn't the Nine... But then who was it? This voice just sounded so familiar to him, but he just couldn't put his finger o- "GOOD LUCK GETTING THROUGH THE EXCLUSION ZONE, ASSHAT!"
