First off, I think I've pointed out before that while I would hardly consider myself an expert with the battle rifle, I'm not the worst with it either, and I can usually hold my own. My point was that it is no fun at all. Please explain to me how a battle rifle owner staring at your spawn point is any better than a dual wielder running down your throat when you still spawn with a SOFTENED SMG. Much less more than one rocket launcher owner, or two sniper trails accomodated with rockets and BR fire. Yeah, someone with an SMG-PR combo was SOOOO much worse than THAT scenario, wasn't it? At least you could chuck a grenade at the bastard or melee them to death. Good luck FINDING the little bastard sitting at the top of the level with a BR and RL. When there was one BR owner and one RL owner, at least you could find a way to get inside a confined space, grab some weapons while you are concealed, and jump up behind him. Now the sonuva-blam!- has 3 Battle Rifles watching his back, and usually ANOTHER rocket launcher to boot. Explain to me how that's fun? Secondly, I don't like one-weapon games. I think I've been pretty straightforward with that. I can't find a post I've made where I didn't make that the -blam!- THEME of the post. So no, I don't like one-weapon games (besides a custom game of rockets every now and then, I mean, who doesn't?), because of the lack of OPTIONS. If I get sick of one aspect of the game, too bad, I have to stick it out and just pray to God I get a different gametype next time. That's ridiculous. For a development company that has talked our ears off for the last month and a half about how they wanted to give us viable options up the ass, they just set us up with a TON of games where you have little options at all. I WANTED BR starts on some games. I REALLY DID. I wanted them for BTB games on Coagulation and Burial Mounds. I didn't want them on Waterworks, because spawn sniping is damn near impossible on that map. You can get out of your own base a million different ways, and ONE sniper has to try and cover all of them? Fat chance, which is why that map needed little to no improvement. Headlong was the same thing. Sure, it was a big map, but sniping was not the strong part of the game, rockets were. The only other map that would still need BR starts is Containment. But no, we have BR starts on BEAVER CREEk, so you have the same range as a SNIPER at all times on the map, and the same goes for the other small maps too. That's stupid. They took requests from people, and then decided to take extra steps to them. Last time I checked, there were only three maps that needed them, but they're on nearly EVERY map now. Not only that, they made games with only HUMAN weaponsets. And it isn't just every once in a while, it's damn near 50% of the time. So now there's more than one rocket in quite a few games, and there's absolutely NO use for the SMG or Pistol. It's still a 3-weapon game: Sniper, BR, and RL. Holding anything else in your hand will get you killed. But gee, it's a big relief from a dual-wielder spawn camping, right? Now you can get blown off the face of the earth with two rockets as soon as you spawn instead of a good 10 seconds of close-quarters fighting. Such an improvement, I agree....... Thirdly, I never said dual-wielding didn't require skill. It requires a different type of skill, but it takes the same amount of skill to use as a Battle Rifle. I said that it was pretty sad to not be capable of handling two triggers instead of one, since you had made it so blatently public that you were the Battle Rifle God of Halo. My point was that someone who could aim so precisely and quickly should be capable of handling more than one trigger as well. Which is a valid point, regardless if it applies to you or not. And if dual-wielders spawn camp you, as I've said more than once in this post already, you have OPTIONS for taking them out. Get close and perform a jumping melee attack to the head, chuck grenades, duck around a corner, and then jump out just as they try to follow you and melee the -blam!- out of them, shoot them and melee attack them as you get closer. They modified the game so that YOUR melee attack comes out faster in the 1st update. There are plenty of other ways to handle them too. And if you DO have a dual-wielder breathing down your neck, you're not going to handle them any differently with a Battle Rifle. The whole point behind wanting BR starts was to eliminate spawn sniping, not some dual-wielding "n00b" who is stupid enough to breath down MY neck. Oh, and I think it's cute that you think I spell check at all. Or that I really give two -blam!-s about your lame-ass comments to the effect of "your a ghey n00b". You're a griefer, and I hope to hell that if you talk like that in-game, that people are leaving feedback for your comments.

u should read the WWU it'll tell ya proly middle of next month since the disc comes out on june 28th so u can get all the new maps and auto updates *note* its mainly for people without xbox live so i guesse all the sweet maps are comin out the 28th or sooner hopefully by then they'll have MLG play lists [Edited on 5/11/2005]

You think BR sucks = u suck at halo , if u like burial mounds u suck that map is so -blam!-, if you think br takes no skill just quit halo, if u think its funnier to start off with a smg and the other teams have sniper rifles rockets sword BR's quit halo u suck and dont no real fun and stratigy, if the team that has the snipers if they new what they were doin and was actualy good they would kill your team 50-10 easily u proly would have 3 at the most.... if u dont like BR's u sucked at halo1 then cuz the BR is a downgraded version of the Pistol in halo1 think about it both take 4 head shots to kill some1 the BR is less range, its less damage for each bullet just 3 round bursts, but halo1 you started with the pistol instead of just a assualt rifle, and the assualt rifle is pretty much the smg only 2 handed and if u say its no work to get good weapons on the map they just suck, they dont no how to play defence if your shooten them with a br long range and they have sniper and they cant kill you they should quit and if your mid range they should take out the BR inless there still sweet when u got BR and they snipe you out, close range they eaither are sweet and unscope you or they toss a nade and shoot u once with br thats skill its all about stratigy when every1 starts off with a real weapon not spawn campin... Team slayer br is the worse descion every it sux arse wtf is the point of plaing if every time u move u get shot down by a battle rifle and im not a noob or anything but really it sux arse

Team Slayer BR is a terrible setting. i played it like 3 times last night on Burial Mounds out of 9 team slayer games. The BR setting is horrible, just like Swords, there's no skill involved when you don't have to work to get a good gun on the map. Also it'd be great if i played more than 4 maps when i play Team Slayer 10 times. Seriously, up the rotation in these games, i get sick and tired of playing the same crap all the time.

Is there any place I can get an overhead map of the new ( and the old ) maps indicating default weapon placement and sites for the flag or territories?

omfg i have to double post now. Your other weapon's are in the game with battle rifle. But i think u want something like brute shot games, or sniper games, or something like taht. But since i hate sword games i'm gunna call u a total n00b anyways. plus, all those weapon's are in the game if it's like "slayer Hum" or "slayer Brif." the update was alright i wish they would make h2h back to just slayer but keep radar's off that would be so much better, im a 20 in TS now got there way to easy *note i was a 17 before they reset ranks* and its just because this game is just a race now who ever can get the weapons first, i dont play matchmaken as often nemore i rather play a game that takes skill (MLG) beaver creak sucks now only human.... its only good because theres more BR's on the map other then tha it sucks colosses when you start with BR is awsome but should make it no radar and map default for weapons... if ne1 agree's send me a friend request and we'll play real games all day, games that take skill (once i get outa work of course) MLG and BR shotgun games gamer tag is C Dibbles

no, the level system should stay, i really dont care what my rank is but its still nice to know you leveled up, and how else are you gonna know how good you really are at the game? You could think that you absolutely own at Halo but really you were playing against a bunch of level 3s or somthing! And I would probably have a much higher level if i didnt live in Ireland! i can never strike first with a sword or shotgun because Americans have such amazing connections! in a swords or shotguns game i have to depend on sneaking up from behind or sticking with plasma grenades. also why is it a rarity to see the Brute Plasma Rifles and Brute Grenade Launchers in Matchmaking? and oh yeah; PUT THE COVY GREEN ROCKET LAUNCHER THING (since thats what everyone else is calling it) INTO MULTIPLAYER AND MATCHMAKING!!!!! I think that they should just get rid of the level system. If you play someone and they kick the crap out of you or with someone that's not that great, who cares? It's just a video game, not real life. I would like to play people who are better than me and learn something or someone who's not as good and teach them something. Plus it's annoying when people call you a noob or something when your level isn't as high as theirs, like they've accomplished something over you. Oh yeah the new maps look sweet. wow i love some of the things u guys at bungie did u guys really did a good job on the new maps(bought the killtact pack) and some of the matchmaking games r really fun and stand bying is very rare and u guys will ban them in time. Double Team and Team Preveiw was also a very nice touch too. but when ever u guys do something good, u always end up dissappointing me in some way. WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH YOUR f$%^$ING MINDS WHEN YOU PUT TWO WRAIGHS ON BUIRAL MOUNDS WHY WOULD U MAKE PISTOLS IN DOUBLE TEAM WHEN U MADE THE MAGEUM SUCK U SAY U GUYS WANTED TO BALANCE OUT THE WEAPONS AND GERNADES AND U MAKE THE PLASMA A 1 HIT KILLER other than that keep up the good work and stop being retared and doing stupid things cuz u think its funny
