Anyone not trying to ruin it?
I cant be the only one not stacking up bounties and stuff for ttk. I just wanna play it for fun i don't care how fast i get to 40.
Edit: I got back on and realized I have almost 700 people on this thread! I don't think any of my others have gotten past 100

95 RepliesYou can't stack bounties... Seriously... The notes already said that any and ALL unfinished bounties at time of release will be auto abandoned... So if you have 10 100pt bounties stacked up and waiting, once TTK launches they'll be abandoned before you can turn them in.

I'm currently just taking 2.0 in... I find myself being a tourist while playing new Crucible maps etc. Memento... The Ketch above the map... I just stare and wonder... What house is that? What are they doing? Do they have an Archon Priest for me to slay?... Boom! Omolon test sniper sends me packing...

And I have been leveling up faction ranks & vanguard & cryptarch so I can hopefully get a shot at some new stuff when it launches.....don't feel like I'm ruining anything by doing this. But anyway, what is level 40 going to mean anyway....it's not as if you hit lvl 40 & the game is over.

Getting to 40 is a side effect of doing this. Most people do it for the gear/rewards. That said, getting to 40 quickly isn't ruining anything, at least in my opinion. It's going to happen regardless and let's be honest, it's not like the last 2 dlcs had some major long campaign intertwined in them. They've actually gotten steadily shorter, with HoW being almost laughable. I'll admit, TDB had at least one challenging mission if you didn't have a gally (I didn't at the time.) I don't expect TTK to be anything special in this regard and even if it is it's a matter of personal preference. A lot of people are going to try to gear up as quickly as possible because they want to be ready for the raid when it drops. For many people, endgame is the real game and all that really matters.

Totally agree - going to start a new character to check out the whole process with new voices, lower level weapons etc as well. If people want to level up fast that's fine by me, I just want to enjoy it my way and make the experience last for more than a couple of days

We all play games to beat and finish them , if the game is made well people will enjoy it no matter how fast or slow they go through it. We do the same thing with some things in life, I have never heard of someone going to movie that they really want to see then leaving early and going back again and again because they want to enjoy the experience. People should just play the game how they want and if it's worth its salt they will enjoy it regardless.

4 RepliesI plan on deleting a character. Getting him to 29 with blue gear. Then doing VoG and such til I get to 32. Then doing crota and the eris missions. Then doing HoW stuff til i hit 34/finish it. Then ill touch the new stuff. I want to enjoy the full leveling experience

2 RepliesGetting to 40 on day 1 and beatimg the raid on the 1st day do not ruin the game. It is setting a goal for yourself and achieving it....what is not fun about that?. There is plenty to collect and do....and you wont be able to do it all in 1 day.

12 RepliesI'm with you. We should play this game for fun. It shouldn't be a retarded competition where a anyone not reaching lvl 40 in the first 5 hours is a scrub that needs to "git gud". I work, so it'll take me a few days to get to 40. Hell I won't even get to the raid for like 2 weeks. But that's cool.

Playing the content over-levelled just makes it boring. Slow down. Enjoy the ride. It's going to be three or four months until the next DLC if they put out content at the same rate as they did last year.
