ATTENTION: Bungie Developers!!
I'm sure you've heard it from oh...15,000,001 Players thus far! But here you go. From me, to you.
LEGENDARY WEAPONS & ARMOR from YEAR 1 to YEAR 2:
1.Honestly I could care less about all the Crucible & Vanguard Junk.
But the End Game gear, I.E. RAID, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris WEAPONS & GEAR.
How can you justify killing every other MAJOR item in the game? Not to mention every other activity in the game?
You're even boosting people to lvl 25 for The Taken King. Nullifying every challenge in the game to go straight to your DLC?
Current Gear & over all Relativity of Vanilla Destiny & first two DLC's on Sept. 15th Check List:
Campaign? DEAD
Strikes? DEAD
Eris? DEAD
Queens Ransom? DEAD
Raids? DEAD
Iron Banner? DEAD
Trials of Osiris? DEAD
The Taken King? FUN Yayyy! Screw that other 25GB of game play! It's too easy!!!!
Who the hell is in charge down there? Because who ever it is needs a Gjallarhorn shoved up his/her arse and Empty the Mag!
Because these finalized plans for Destiny are equivalent to bending Vanilla Destiny over and getting Gang Banged by Oryx and his whole posse!
Raid Gear, Trials Gear, Iron Banner Gear and all other End Game gear should be upgradable. Plain & simple. Other wise, this whole game became pointless outside of TTK.
P.S. All exotics should be Year 2 as well. Stop being petty.

6 RepliesI choose to believe that Destiny developers have a "giant idea circle" on the floor in the basement of their hq. Every week, they sacrifice a chicken by cutting off its head, then they throw it in the idea circle. It runs around bleeding everywhere, and whenever it dies, the idea that it dies on top of is implemented into Destiny. (Just like on South Park)

Buying TTK will only make Bungie, and every other developer thats paying attention to Destinys success, make greedier and greedier decisions. Hit them in the only weak spot they have, their pocketbooks. I refuse to continue to pay hard earned money, to beta test a game that routinely will strip me of loot and rewards. Doing so will strengthen their ideas of how to make consumers grind harder for less reward. This whole freaking mess amazes me, and the fact that Bungie seemingly has LEGIONS of people supporting every greedy move they make, has me extremely worried about the future of gaming.

Why wouldn't they? People coming in now would not be willing to spend 50-100 hrs just to play the game they intended. Its literally the equivalent of [i]forcing[/i] you to play Mass Effect 1 before you play ME 2. 2. Its a [i]once-per-account[/i] basis for everyone who buys TTK, including day 1s. So if a TTK noob wants a second character, he starts from vanilla and works his up. And many probably will do that anyway.

The more i think about it the more i keep coming to the conclusion its the only time i've seen and expansion or dlc for a game that actually lessens the amount of useful playable content rather than expand it. Essentially the only content worth playing will be the TTK stuff, everything else will be optional in regards to really progressing your character into a legendary guardian that can kill all the minions of darkness.

2 RepliesBump! We all paid for this content and it's unacceptable for Bungievision to simply remove it or force it into obsolescence. If TTK destroys all of vanilla Destiny and the year 1 DLC (and only a few months after the release of HoW to boot!) I will be pushing for a full refund of my purchase price in light of them effectively removing the bulk of the game I paid for. Bungie call these things expansions but I am very worried The Taken King is just a "substitution" or worse a "contraction". I hope these fears are not realised! Rockstar finally released Heists, I don't seem to recall them nerfing the base GTA V to force you to play them (and they didn't charge another £40!). Forza Horizon released Storm Island but didn't cripple all your existing cars. Why Bungie even consider removing content is beyond me. #infusionforall

So many games are out there so many other games are coming out so play those instead? Or you know just dont play games anymore at all thats an option as well.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who wants all their gear left behind as a way to breath new life into the game (because who doesn't want to grind another thousand hours, right?) is bat-shit-crazy. May as well start a clan called "The Taken for Granted."
