Cabal Regiments

/Incoming Transmission From The Collective Of Knowledge /Decryption Loaded. Startup Initiated
Here's what we have on the cabal. 6 feet tall, 800 pounds. also, they destroy planets for getting in there way. Just so you know what we are up against. -Ghost, The Exclusion Zone
Hello, my name is Analytical Ghost, you can call me AG. Today we will be discussing cabal orders/regiments. Each cabal is assigned to a regiment as far as we know. These are the regiments Sand Eaters The Sand Eaters are the cabal in charge of combating, well us. Their only job is to destroy your light, and they must not leave until that is accomplished. They are the cabal we most frequently confront on mars, and their armor is weathered by the sands of mars. Dust Giants Highly trained and heavily conditioned, Dust Giants are recruited from veteran sand eaters. They are mostly mobile reserve and shock troopers. They are usually seen fighting major vex offenders and helping reinforce crumbling lines. You definitely do not want these guys to roll in on your scuttle with the cabal. Blind Legion The Blind Legion on mars are locked in an endless battle with the vex. They are tasked with the most thankless job of the cabal. They protect vital artifacts seized from the vex and brave the buried ruins and black catacombs to sweep for vex presence. Skyburners Regiment The Skyburners Regiment is the regiment shrouded in the most mystery. We know next to nothing about them, only being informed about them through the Taken King's first story mission, The Coming War. From analysis of the cabal base on phobos I have concluded that the Skyburners Regiment is tasked with protecting the cabal empire and bases, but this is all I can find about them. Broken Legion These are the cabal we fight in the Prison Of Elders. All I could find of them is that they were exiled from the cabal empire for rebelling against them. Next is a few I can find nothing about Siege Dancers Ice Reapers Bone Crushers That's all the cabal regiments we know of. Be Brave Guardians, Ghost out. • Some observations on the other groups: The Siege Dancers are a hyper-offensive taskforce assigned for pushing into hostile territory and constructing forward outposts. They may have had a significant role in conflict with Golden Age humanity during the Collapse, but their lesser deployment suggests they have been usurped by the Blind Legion, who are better suited to dealing with any Vex incursion. The arrival of Guardians on Mars might yet spur them to action in greater numbers. The Ice Reapers seem to be, at the least, a specialised regiment. Their name suggests some past deployment in colder climates (perhaps to a post-Jovian moon?) but their inclusion of the Psion Flayers suggests some grander purpose. The Cabal attempt to use Phobos as a weapon hints at both the purpose of the Reapers and a chronic lack of the "planet-busting" weapons the Cabal were initially feared to possess. I have a theory on the Bone Crushers. It is possible that they are a legion specialised for dealing with a single foe (similar to the role of the Blind Legion against the Vex), with that foe being the Hive. This may be disproved, but it seems reasonable, given a literal interpretation of each regiment's name.

  • Ice reapers are the flayers special unit I'm guessing for this part of the empire. Highly intelligent with telekinetic powers

I'm pretty sure Siege Dancers are Valus Ta'aurc's soldiers. Edit - Double checked, the description of the Cerberus Vae III strike reads "...Valus Ta'aurc, Fleet Commander of the Cabal Siege Dancers..."
