Bungie wants people to stop playing destiny
That's the only conclusion I can draw at this point.
They themselves are unhappy with their work, and are slowly but surely pulling the plug. And generating insane profit at the same time.
Edit: everybody calm down, I was joking.

They marketed the game to a different crowd and expected them to be the same type of gamers that clung to Halo and master chief. Creating an MMOFPS is far different from a simple FPS. They are learning the hard way. And really this audience isn't hard to figure out. Just don't lie to us and be open with your development.
