Crucible working as designed - poorly

Before you add more types of PVP, you should fix your current issues. Your choice of going with old peer-based technology from a decade ago over dedicated servers means that whoever hosts, will usually win. Also, your algorithm for choosing the poorest connection to host is shockingly bad. Secondly, your matchmaking should also be completely abandoned. It seems to be based on putting all of the good connections on one team, and to heck with the other 6. Finally, whoever wrote your spawning deserves a medal. It's amazing how often it works to perfection, either spawning you and the rest of your team AWAY from your control points so that the other team can have them, or spawns you directly in front of the other team. It's amazing! Thank you for promoting and then creating what might be the WORST PVP experience in 2 GENERATIONS of game consoles.

  • Belongs in #Feedback. You have some valid points, but Destiny isn't quite as bad as other popular shooters. Not to defend it or anything, but it's true. It actually has lag compensation that works most of the time. Kill trading is one of the things I'm talking about. In something like Call of Duty, there's no such thing. On your screen, you could dump an entire magazine of bullets into someone, and they would kill you in an instant. That's what I call awful. Matchmaking in Destiny seems to be exactly the same as other Activision titles. If you're going into a match by yourself, the game will look at your performance over the past # games you played, and try it's best to put you on a team with polar opposites. And if you have an above average KD/R, you can forget about having a positive win/loss.
