In the context of Transphobia and Homophobia, I've seen a few people on b.net play the "Hurr, that's not what Phobia means" card, and it's seriously one of the best ways to make yourself look like an absolute tool. The above screenshot was taken from the website of the Oxford Dictionary, which I personally view as a much more trustworthy source than some edgy 14 year old looking for cheap upvotes on b.net. For those too lazy to go to the effort of a single click, Oxford Dictionary defines "Phobia" as, 'an extreme or irrational fear or aversion to something." Note the term "aversion." It doesn't just mean fear, but encompasses a dislike or disinclination of something, too. Check your shit, kids. It saves trouble.
