I just got a BTRD
Counterbalance and Army of One.
Just a question, why is the gun considered one of the best LMGs? I only got one kill before I was Ash Factory'd.
EDIT: I will start waiting out the rocketpopcalypse after I get Heavy Ammo.

aggressive ballistics w/smallbore and rangefinder. will take out snipers np. what ever floats your boat for the 3rd perk tree.

2 RepliesLmgs aren't really that good at the moment because people would rather use a proximity/tripod launcher. By people I mean the entire masses that do PvP.

Try for aggressive ballistic to get the most out of it, bumps it up to near Jolders damage territory with a faster fire rate

2 RepliesI don't use it often in PvP, but the BTRD is my go-to gun for PvE. Surplus means I never run out of ammo, the large clip size is a godsend for melting bosses down, and its steadiness means you can land a lot of shots at range.

Well, ash factory as you well know is a rocket. So comparing them isn't really feasible. I love my BTRD with: Linear Compensator Rodeo Braced frame (38 rounds per mag) And of course, counter balance. Rodeo could easily be replaced by crowd control and probably should. It's a laser. Absolutely no recoil. At. Allllllllll. I'm dead serious.

I'm sure people have told you, but when using machine guns, you have to wait out the rocket launcher onslaught. Let them all die/use their rockets, then come in and start tearing them up.

Mine has counterbalance and feeding frenzy. I wait for rocket to run out then run around killing and reloading super fast.

I have one with Crowd Control and Hidden Hand, along with aggressive ballistics. Very good roll imo. Second only to a Dark Below Jolder's hammer because of Field Scout. It kills really fast. The only thing that kills faster is TLW and Snipers/Shotguns.

1 ReplyNot anymore. Try to roll a perk that helps with range, that's the only thing that gun is lacking.

When you are using a machine gun, never just run out as soon as you get heavy, wait a little until they all die or use their rockets, then go out and watch as everyone kneels before you.

I used to have a .3 kd rating. Now its 1.5. It all started with btrd it really helped me get some confidence
